I'm familiar with small-scale earthquakes in Indiana, due to proximity to the New Madrid fault, but this is completely new to me.

Eh...it's alright. It's not the size that matters, it's how you felt afterward.

@ledger_NYMets If it wasn't for Twitter, I wouldn't be able to read jokes about John Tenta immediately after a natural disaster.

Well, there's always a silver lining to these things. Somewhere along the East Coast, a Golem just won a battle for his trainer. So there's that.

I'm familiar with small-scale earthquakes in Indiana, due to proximity to the New Madrid fault, but this is completely new to me. apparently, according to wiki, there is a fault zone in Virginia, and while rare, earthquakes do happen over there. The ast one was over 30 years ago, so bound to happen again I guess.

I felt it out here working in Hicksville, Long Island. I've heard that there is another aftershock coming in the next 45 minutes.

Growing up in KS I'm pretty used to Tornado Warnings.
I've lived in Los Angeles for nearly 4 years, been through a couple Earthquakes but only noticed one. I remember thinking "Oh I must be hungry....Oh, the ground...Oh, the wall...I must be in a....Oh, it's over".
So East Coasters, I know the feeling.
