As much as I love Conroy's voice acting, I thought Greenwood was nearly as effective in Under the Red Hood so I can't really in good conscience vote for Conroy on that. West is just a cartoon, Kilmer was excessively bland, Clooney was stuck in an awful movie and couldn't elevate it, and Keaton was really boring and doesn't really fit any part where he isn't at least a little bit over the top (and doesn't look the part of Batman in the least). So by that token, I'll give it to Bale, mainly because he was magnificent in Batman Begins and solid in The Dark Knight. Conroy's my pick, but the only real problem I have with Greenwood is he's too similar to him. Does a great job in the role, but he basically gave him the same voice Conroy did.

Funny thing about Keaton is the backlash that came when he was cast. If the net existed then like it exists now, that would have been something. I remember going into comic shops and hearing:
"You WILL NEVER BELIEVE who THEY cast as Batman!!!!"
"Who?"
"MR MOM!!!!"
I even remember a report went out about Keaton wearing "special shoes" for the part and that set people off too. When the film came out, everyone believed in him from the beginning of course.
I'd say he's my favorite (live-action). I thought he was awesome in Batman Returns (still my favorite Batman film).

No Diedrich Bader? For shame. That said, overall, might be Kevin Conroy. I think Bale and Keaton have done great jobs, and Adam West is of course very endearing, but Kevin Conroy is who I picture whenever I think of Batman speaking.

Bale's voice sucks, but he captures the whole "tortured" thing well. Keaton does too, but Bale's Bruce Wayne made you think he could still kick ass.

I'm not a fan of Bale's Batman. He sounds like he has constipation. I would have to go with Keaton.

Conroy > Bale > West > everyone else. Wasn't as big a fan of Keaton as everyone else, though I think that's more to not liking Tim Burton's rather uh, loose interpretation of Batman than anything Keaton specifically did.

I've never been able to pick out a "best" Batman but was always a big fan Adam West's cheesy version.
I do know that I 100% believe Val Kilmer was the best Bruce Wayne.

To me Michael Keaton was Batman and played the part perfectly. No one else comes close.

Conroy did the animated series voices? Him totally. When I think of Batman my mind defaults to that.

I truly, utterly don't understand Keaton over Bale. Bale's voice is rather sluggish, but at least he tried to change his voice in between the characters. In every single other category, Bale completely blows him away.

Excluding Adam West, I think Bale's Batman was the only one who could actually completely turn his head, I HATED that about the other Batmen. Correct me if I'm wrong.
