So fairly large but no-one knows then? I doubt there is anyone here who keep track of different wrestling promotions' tv ratings from around the world. Even Meltzer has to sleep sometimes. But he knows what Ring ka kings are?

Magnus/Dutt vs. Ion/Rave looked pretty good.

TNT? So that's where Savio Vega ended up. Still, I can't think of a better guy to put in the ring with the green guys than a road agent and the man who's most likely training them, even if he is a little jiggly these days.
Am I the only one that's liking the Ring Ka King commentary team more than those of the WWE and TNA despite not speaking a word of their language? They seem to be having fun and actually talking about what's going on in the ring.

Ring Ka King has been hyped by wrestling sites for the last couple of months due to it being a pet project of Jeff Jarrett and TNA. If it was some company without any major wrestling connections like the original promotion that it replaced, no one would really care. Most here don't even know that this is the second time Colors had a wrestling show. 100% De Dhana Dhan was the first.

What makes this show interesting to me is that it is a mix of wrestlers.

The Bollywood Boys have my new favourite theme in wrestling. I wonder if we could have people on this board get that type of entrance.......including with the girls.

If Ring Ka King continues to be successful in India, I have to wonder if this may be the future of wrestling. I know that sounds like a ridiculous proposition, but hear me out.
Endemol is the producer of this show and it's proving to be a successful one so far and if there's one thing Endemol is known for, it's creating TV show formats then exporting them around the world, creating their own versions for different markets like they did with Big Brother, Total Wipeout and so on. Endemol have a much bigger presence, many more contacts than TNA or even the WWE and have managed to get their shows on bigger networks in other countries than a pro wrestling company has managed alone so I see no reason why there can't be a British version of this or a German, Italian one and so on.
If it is successful, they can expand this idea, using TNA workers, former WWE guys and the bigger indie names from the various nations for a few days every couple of months, perhaps running joint tours with TNA in the more successful markets. With luck it could even become a viable alternative to the 'E over time for bigger names, working far fewer dates but still getting international exposure and a fair wage, which is something everyone would consider to be a good thing. The best part is, with it being filmed in a series format with tapings over a few weeks, you're less likely to lose guys partway through a major storyline as they're injured while touring, and if it fails in one country, it won't severely damage the operation as Endemol are used to trying formats that don't always translate well and aren't eager to throw babies out with the bathwater at the first sign of failure, like the WWE has in the past when trying new ventures.

Think the whole idea with India is that it was a country largely underexposed to wrestling, so Endemol should try with similar countries. WWE and TNA are well entrenched in the UK and other European countries, so an Endemol show may not work so well in those countries.

WWE and TNA are well entrenched in the UK and other European countries, so an Endemol show may not work so well in those countries. I'm not so sure the market for wrestling in some nations has been exploited fully. Wrestling is hot in the UK, despite being tucked away on subscription only channels for two decades and on a gameshow channel few people know actually know exists, let alone shows TNA. Even at the most optimistic estimates, assuming the people who watch TNA and WWE in the UK are all individuals, the ratings for wrestling have probably never topped 550,000 viewers a week tops, in a nation with a population of over 50 million, nearer 60. If Endemol could get a version of Ring Ka King onto a channel like ITV or channel 5, maybe in the timeslot they wasted on celebrity wrestling years ago, they could get that alone. I think one of the things about Ring Ka King that would appeal more to domestic broadcasters is the fact they could have more say over the content, they could get sponsors in, like they have with TATA in India and so on, while buying WWE or TNA, you get a pre made program with plugs for things you don't make any money from. Plus there's the fact Ring Ka King seems PG so could be shown at an earlier timeslot with appropriate warnings, and so on.

No, no, by localised I don't mean a dubbed version of Ring Ka King, I mean a wrestling program filmed in the country in question featuring indie workers from there. Endemol have a long history of making programs in one nation, then using the format to produce a version for other markets, filmed there. They'd need a new name but I don't see why it wouldn't work.
