According to the SmackDown! spoilers, there doesn't seem to be any announcement regarding a rumoured SD! Tag Team Championship match between MNM and any other challengers at WrestleMania XXII. So I ask this...
Why aren't they on the card? They are the tag team of WWE. They have previously defeated (regardless of interference) Batista, Rey Mysterio and the late Eddie Guerrero, amongst others. And Melina is one of the E's top divas. Plus, a tag team match would be a good way to get London/Kendrick and/or The Mexicools and/or The Gymini on the card.
So, why aren't they there WWE. Why?

I hope for a reenactment of past Wrestlemania Pre Show..
A battle royal/4 corners match to decide Number One Contender
followed by a match to open Wrestlemania

They were bumped for the pillow fight crap. Seriously why does WWE book stuff like this at WM? This type of filler should be reserved for the tv shows.

Just a warning, there is a SD spoiler in the following......
Since the Mexicools defeat Kash and Noble on Smackdown this week, that says to me that they probably added MNM vs. The Mexicools to the WrestleMania card and it will be announced when they run down the card on SD. Because otherwise, it seems really strange they would just throw a match like that out there on the go home show to the PPV. Maybe they will just add something like MNM watching on the monitors backstage or something. But I think if nothing else, they will at least get the Heat match, which at WrestleMania, is still a nice spot to have.
I dont know though, we'll see what happens.

is WM a 4 hour show this year? 11 or 12 matches seem pretty high for a 3 hour program, or has it been 4 hours for a while? I can't recall.

Just a warning, there is a SD spoiler in the following...... I thought about that too, but Raw also had a match that had nothing at all to do with Wrestlemania (Spirit Squad vs Team 3V/Eugene). So yeah, we'll have to wait and see.

There have been rumors of MNM facing London/Kendrick on the Heat prior to WM.

Yeah, but the Squad has been getting tv time on Raw everyweek, while the Mexicools arent on SD that often. Plus the fact that Raw has 6 individual Mania matches while SD has only 4 (then both have 3 guys in MITB).

While I am sad MNM might be snubbed, I am also sad there are so many damn matches on the card. I loved the WM 21 formula of 7-8 matches.

But WM21 just replaced a few matches with in-ring segments (Hogan/Hassan, Piper's Pit), so it was basically 10 "matches".

Since Wrestlemania is supposed to be (not the case, but they once said it is) the 1 place where you can have interpromotional matches, wouldnt it have made more sense for them to do something like Show and Kane vs MNM? That way they could have put Carlito in the MiTB or even had him fight Masters since they looked like they were going to do that after New Years Revolution. I would have preferred that myself. And if that happened the best tag team in WWE gets on the biggest show of the year and if they wanted, they could unite the tag belts since theres really no need for 2 of them, imo.

No it wouldn't have. They don't want to unify the titles, so why would they have them fight again?

There are no Tag Teams in WWe really anymorem everybody seems to be watching themselves and no1else. Case in point, Shawn Michaels, who'da thought he'd ever be watching out for himself only? That's why I'd never trust him in a tag team match. You people know exactly what i mean there, Hogan, Jannetty,Goldberg, any more that i forgot??

I honestly expect MNM to do a run-in during the MITB to help the newest member of their faction, Matt Hardy, win the damn thing.

I think the writing team forgot they were hinting at a Hardy heel turn.
Shannon Moore could take the place of MNM in the "help Matt win" theory as well.
