Miguel Torres has been cut by the UFC again and has signed with Titan FC. Frankie Edgar has announced that he will be moving down to featherweight. That's exciting news, I know he won't be getting an immediate title shot but he and Aldo is a fight I would really like to see.

There's a RUMOR flying around that Hendo is down and out and UFC is scrambling to get a replacement on 9 days notice.

Dana White has announced UFC 151 is canceled. Jon Jones rejected Sonnen as a replacement Jones vs Machida at 152 (which will be 151 now I'm guessing) in Toronto. No timetable on Hendo return Jones did in fact turn down Chael fight, however that may have been Jackson's call. EDIT: The TO show is officially UFC 151 now

Oh, jesus, I just realized, Sonnen is gonna use this for another one of his douche rants, saying Jones is "ducking him", isn't he?

It's not a good image having a champion duck a fight, even if it is on 8 days notice. At least it would build up a future match, with Sonnen having a lifetime's ammo of promo material to unload on Jones. Would do over a million buys. UFC needs it after the ass it lost on this.

But at the same time, Sonnen's not exactly a worthy challenger right now. He's lost his last two title fights, and the last one decidedly so. He talks a decent game, but when it's time to actually show up and win big fights, he flounders. There's no reason for Jones to fight him at this time.

Well ain't it a con-winky-dink that Jones rejected a fight against Sonnen, when a certain somebody (who's name rhymes with BN Sunk) who is good friends with Chael just lashed out against him.

Jon Jones has been bitching about having to fight Machida again, too, so he really doesn't look good right now.

Jones has every right to turn down a fight with a fraudulent contender like Sonnen.
The main thing is that this essentially shows how much UFC has watered itself down. Without the Jones fight...the whole thing falls apart. No Jones? No PPV. That's on UFC for stretching itself so thin.
Of course, Dana White will do what he does best, blame Jones and Greg Jackson.

Nice poetic justice though - Jones bitches about having to fight Machida again because the last fight in Toronto didn't draw so well on PPV. So where's the rematch happening? TORONTO!

Jones had absolutely no reason to take a fight Chael Sonnen on eight days notice for the title. Anyone saying he "ducked" him is full of it, plain and simple. And I'm far from a Jones fan.
Hopefully this will teach Dana and the UFC that building a card on one fight is a bad idea. I doubt it, because from what I've seen he's already laying the blame elsewhere.

Dana is spinning like a top trying to keep any criticism from hitting the UFC. He's sacrificing any good will that Bones Jones has for the sake of the entire company.
Rumors are that Chris Weidman said he'd take the fight. Maybe they should've tried to do Weidman/Sonnen. Ha.
I'm mean, it's ridiculous to expect a champion who has been training for months upon months for a fighter to be expected to risk his title against a completely new opponent with slightly more than a week to prepare.
