1 week (almost) in, what are your thoughts on the future of the DCnU?

Justice League was pretty damn good. Absolutely loved Lantern's jab at Batman about not having superpowers.
Batman: You flew us to Metropolis in a glowing green jet? Green Lantern: You can't fly, so how else were we going to get here? Talk in a deep voice?

I love the concept of DC starting from scratch, but hate that it's the same soft reboot crap we've been getting from them for 25 years now. If they had any balls they would have truely started from scratch and not felt tied by Geoff John's GL run and Batman stuff that was written by Alan Moore and Grant Morrison. All they have done is make it confusing already for new readers.
That being said, so far I am indifferent to the product itself. It hasn't totally won me over, but hasn't totally turned me off either.
I suspect within a few months I will have a few certain books that I follow just like normal, and my comic reading habits will likely be unaffected by it one way or the other.
And if they do totally turn me off for good, well hey Marvel and IDW are both putting out a lot of stuff I like right now anyway so I'll just give them more of my money instead.

The titles I'm after aren't out yet, so my jury is still out

Well, I picked up Justice League #1 on launch day, and it left me with a bad taste in my mouth. It was the Batman/Green Lantern comedy hour. I honestly felt as if I was reading a new version of the "All-Star" line, and not something that was supposed to become main canon. I'm still going to give Batman, Green Arrow, Nightwing, and Swamp Thing a chance. Everything else looks pretty wrecked at this point for me.

I still think the entire idea's moronic. Doesn't help that the entire thing seems to be an excuse to kiss Johns' overhyped ass.
Still, a title or two I might give a look at. I don't expect this to last though.

It's interesting.
On the one hand this is what DC does. They did it a few years ago, they did it nearly thirty years ago with the first crisis and now they have done it again.
However, on the other hand, Jim Lee has done this before with Heroes Reborn, the weird lady making her speech in the middle of Flashpoint seemed like a nice get out clause and DC changing everything back again will generate them some more big numbers in the future.

I dunno if they'll change EVERYTHING back, but that does provide a neat little out if something proves to be a particularly big mistake.

It's not bad, but certainly bland. Based solely on JL, it doesn't look like DCnu is going to be particularly different from the continuity that preceded it. Same bickering and infighting between the heroes, same 'mystery' surrounding the villain, same personal problems. Thank goodness for groovy new suits, then.
