Lucky? I dunno, Microsoft says you can't refund anything but since someone used your card, maybe you can get the bank to give you your money and keep the points. Or did you do it?

I was eating dinner, check my e-mail and see the conformation. Called xbox live and they said they were gonna lock my account so no other activity can go down while I'm disputing it, I called bank of america and they are sending me a new debit card. It's just odd that someone would get into my account and purchase points on it.

No idea, I'm not touching it until my card is straightened out and I get my money back.

That happened to me, fortunately for me.... the card they tried to use was already cancelled so there was no charge. Just an email saying they failed to process the payment.

Best part: It's my EDD card. Someone used my unemployment to buy me points.

So how much money is 10,000 microsoft points worth? If it's on your xbox live account and you get to keep it then it's a lot better than somebody going on a shopping spree.

Same thing happened to me, luckily it was about 1200 points, came up to 16 bucks, Microsoft sorted it out for me on the phone and by 3am I had my money back in my account, I'm not sure what happened or who did it but it's been happening to alot of people I guess, personally I think there should be some intermediary between the purchase on the console and the points, perhaps a confirmation email you have to click a link in to finish the transaction.

Yikes! I kinda know how you feel. Had someone use my credit card (to buy a $33 domain in Argentina of all places) but the web site company is already in the process of refunding and my bank is gonna send out a new card.

Check to see if your account got changed to a family account, because the hacks I've been reading about have been to:
-Access your account -Change the account to a family account -Add their tag to your family account -Purchase points under your name with your credit card -Transfer it to their tag

Edit: Went online, still a regular membership, and the points are gone.
