I had a pretty cool revelation today about how my body's changed since I started working out more and eating better back after a doctor's visit in February of 2010; back then I was around 245 pounds and usually wore a size 38 pair of jeans (a size I've been wearing since just around junior high...combo of being chubby and also living in the late 90's when everybody wanted baggie clothes ), but after hitting up an outlet mall for Labor Day sales today, I bought my first ever pairs of size 34's. Normally I don't tie numbers to overall health discussions (well, not counting important numbers like blood pressure or what have you), but it was kind of a cool feeling of accomplishment, I admit. Since that time in February I've lost around 50 pounds, I've finished a full cycle of P90X, and suddenly I find myself wearing sizes I never even considered wearing as of less than a year ago. It got me to thinking of where I'd like to end up eventually. I'm a pretty big guy naturally; not very tall (5'9'' or 5'10''), but very naturally broad, naturally strong legs, etc., so I know full well I'm not aiming to drop to some ridiculous number for me like 160, but I definitely am thinking about how much more muscle I could put on, but how much leaner I could continue to get as I get better at running longer distances (getting up around 7 miles in 1 hour on flat ground). Ergo, I think I'm pegging myself to get around 185, but to continue working on adding muscle, and maybe even doing another cycle of P90X once its too cold to run outside everyday. Anyone else have some goals in mind? Numbers are ok, but sometimes it's better to have health goals that are independent of your numerical weight or whatever.

Ever since cutting all soda from my diet and being somewhat forced to walk to places thanks to college, I've been staying around the 170-175 area. (Which I believe is a healthy weight according to my doctor, because I used to be 200lbs after high school). I just plan to stay that way by continuing to walk once I finish schooling.

I'm around 240 right now, I think.
My aim is to decrease my BMI for desperately-needed surgery.

I'm trying to make all my fat right now basically into muscle, I'm a stereo type skinny fat ass. 6'2 155, but I've been on a workout regime for 4 months now, and I feel so much better and healthier. My basic workout has been arms legs on off days, and upper body on opposite days, and tiny bits of running each day. Getting this tattoo though has set me back a couple of weeks, but I still feel mighty good.

Not really. It's been over a year since high school and I've lost 50lbs without knowing it. Don't even eat healthy. Whatever the hell I'm doing, I need to keep up with it.
Did I mention I lost my gallbladder in May?

I've lost like 30lb the past four and a half months keeping a food diary set to a calorie goal derived from my approximate calorie expenditure (BMR + activity based on my sex, weight, height and age) minus 500 calories using livestrong. I'm down to about a BMI of 22, and part of me wants to continue until I get to 18.5. I'm worried that I might be developing an eating disorder but I haven't been able to dissuade myself from this practice.

I just started a new weight regimen that's based off of a Bodybuilding.com "12 weeks to your future physique" thing... First two days have kicked my ass, but that's to be expected, as this is my first foray into free weights since finishing rowing, after having stuck with circuit machines for almost a year.
On the muscle side of things I'm mostly going for size and definition; I've lost a lot of both in my back since I stopped rowing, but that's to be expected, while I've grown in areas that rowing didn't really work as primarily, like the chest and arms. My legs are still huge, but I bike almost everywhere so that helps too.
I'm still at an average of 30 minutes of cardio every day; I'm trying to bump up my calorie burning goal to 500 calories a cardio, after averaging around 420-ish usually.
The YMCA pool reopens after their yearly maintenance shutdown, which I'm impatiently awaiting, so I can get back into swimming; I'm terribly out of shape swimming-wise, and I'm working on building a triathlon training plan, so swimming is where I really need to kick it up a notch. I still plan on using rowing as a cross-training thing, but it'd really help if I could find a friend to help me carry my single out of our garage across the river to the rowing club boathouse. A single scull doesn't do much good sitting in your garage when you're not on the river.
Diet-wise, I'm just keeping on doing what I'm doing; I'm trying to better integrate the protein shakes into my daily diet, and I realized I've actually been using way too much milk per protein than it actually says, so that's another thing I'm taking into consideration.

I'm trying to force myself to start getting the muscles in my arms back - it's hard because I live in so much pain all the time but I really hate feeling blobs on my arms where I used to have muscle

I've lost 40 lbs since April, right now I'm at 255 (yeah, it was bad).
My aim is to drop down to 230 or a little less and just focus on replacing fat with muscle.

About a year ago I weighed nearly 300 lbs. Now I weigh about 250 and most is muscle. I've been working out.
I'm 6'4 btw just to put that into perspective.

I plan on having a 72 pack that would Morrison jealous within the week.
Also, I plan to stop telling outrageous stories and resuming my running regimen. I'm doing good on the strength training, so now's the time to get back to running!

I practiced portion controls and drink only diet soda(must have caffeine) and water. I haven't worked out much, but my weight hasn't gone back up either.

I just alternate between weights and cardio on a daily bases, with the occasional recovery day. As for diet, I pretty much keep an eye on calorie intake and try not to ingest too much saturated fat and sugar.
It seems to be working for me.

I've set out to fix my diet some, since schools' picked up for me and I'm a stress eater. I cut out fried food completely and am trying to limit myself to one meat meal a day at most and change mostly to vegetables and fruits.
I'm not in horrible shape by any means, but I have had some problems since school went back in session and I want to get back to where I used to be. So I'm also trying to work out at 6 times a week, leaving a day for rest. I'm alternating mostly weights and cardio, since I don't think specialized programs are really necessary.

I've been wanting to get into a little bit better shape. I'm about 5'11 and only weigh about 145lbs. But the problem is that I am super skinny, and want to build up some muscle. I want to start lifting weights, but I'm not sure what exercises I should to to help build up muscle. Any suggestions?

I've started with a max amount of calories per day type diet today. It's at 2500 calories right now (around a pound a week) and once I get used to that 2000 calories. Not going any lower than that. That and exercise and I hope to lose 30 lbs by early next year.

I've been working out pretty frequently with no real goal in mind. I'd get in these kicks in the past where I'd want to bulk up, but eating to bulk up gets really tough for me. I have a bad appetite in that there are days where I just don't feel like eating and just can't seem to force it, and would discourage me to work out so I've kind of changed my attitude about it where I'd try eating more than usual, but not get too crazy, and work out regardless of how my diet is going. Just made working out a thing I do like brushing teeth and trying to eat more, but not get discouraged if I don't. It's working a lot better for me.
