I for one am
I mean she wrestles the same match over and over again with only slight tweaks , and shes been doing this for the past 5 years or so .
And shes always in the title picture I'd much rtaher her take a break and give Sarita , Winter, Angelina , Rosita, Tara, ODB, or even tessmacher a chance to face Gail because at least some of those matches would be fresh and new and at least they'd be different from your constant safe/ stale James match.

Hell no - and for your criticism of her wrestling the same match, Ric Flair made a career of wrestling one match.

If it means keeping Velvet away from the title picture, I dont see the complaint.

Let's be honest, Mickie hasn't been the same wrestler she was 5 years ago. Her moves might be the same but the passion and intensity isn't. People swore once she got freed from the WWE way of wrestling, she would get back her fire. All I see is a woman doing this in between her real passion; singing bad country music. Personally I would love to see Sarita finally get a chance.

Let's not point fingers and say it's got anything to do with Mickie. TNA booking can't really use any KO right these days, so to say it's the fault of any given KO is undercutting all of them a bit.

Very true. But the last IMPACT main event of 2011 did feature the Knockouts so there is something to be said for the booking getting a lil better. Onto Mickie (heh) I like seeing her out there, but I would be lying if I said she was a roaring spitfire in her matches nowadays, but then again who is?

having not seen their PPV match, i can say last night's match with Gail and Mickie was the best match i've seen between the two of them especially compared to their WWE meetings (especially the infamous Gail knocked loopy match). all that extra time devoted to the match does wonders for it.
part of the thing with taking Mickie out of the mix is that ODB is doing something with EY; Tara already had a long run near the top in the past year; too early for Tessmacher; and without Karen, VelVel doesn't really fit in either and was just at the top of the title picture. the rest are all heels. so by default Mickie isn;t doing anything else atm so she's the logical choice to have the feud right now.
i do have to chuckle a bit though at Mickie always managing to be "knocked out" in some sort of sprawled sexy pose on a regular basis during her matches.

I like her a lot so im not sick of her per se, but I do agree someone else needs to be in the title picture so shes not as often, I understand most of them are heels, but there is nothing wrong with a heel vs heel run, in fact before Karen left all the heels hated her guts too and Gail by association. you can totally tween a Sarita, Angelina Love or Winter to keep things fresh, I would like for the Mex girls to challenge her and Maddy for the tag titles and drop the singles titles matches for a while.

Not a fan of Mickie James at all. That said, she doesn't really do anything wrong. Let's not point fingers and say it's got anything to do with Mickie. TNA booking can't really use any KO right these days, so to say it's the fault of any given KO is undercutting all of them a bit. And this as well. I admit I don't watch Impact very regularly anymore but I do catch some episodes. From what I've seen lately the KO division has been WWEized a bit with shorter matches and shallow storylines that don't really amount to much of anything. It isn't near as bad off as the WWE diva division is but for some reason it seems like they want to head in that direction.

I just don't like her because she has absolutely NO character whatsoever. Pretty much all the knockouts have defined personalities to some extent, but Mickie James is simply a generic babyface if I ever saw one.
She was great at the psycho lesbian thing. I'm not sayingshe needs to go back to that particular gimmick, but she needs some type of character development to make her interesting.

Hell no - and for your criticism of her wrestling the same match, Ric Flair made a career of wrestling one match. That's not a fair comparison, as Flair made people actually want to watch him wrestle. The main reason that Mickie is so popular is that wrestling fans need to fill their spank bank.
