I'm assuming it's because Jim Cornette is overrated/out of touch with wrestling, but I don't know if there was anything specific that led to ROH not using Cabana, other than not wanting to present a watchable product. On that regard, I can see how they would think that he's not GENERIC MMA WANNABE enough for the company.

From what I've heard, he didn't want to sign a contract with them. He'd rather travel and work the Indys than be tied to ROH.

Yeah, being contracted to ROH would deny him the chance to roam like he does at the moment.

I think it shows that they are "with the times" more than any other company. Granted, they do need to work on making the angles more exciting, but I hardly think Colt Cabana is their missing ingredient.

Cabana isn't in ROH because Cornnette is overrated?

ROH also isn't allowing anyone who is under contract to work other promotions' IPPVs, and Cabana does some of those for ICP.

People have to stop assuming.
ROH is a business. Third largest wrestling company in the country. If they let Cabana do what he wants (ie. go around the country, going to different indies), they run a risk of him missing shows. What's the point of putting him in a contract if they possibly can't use him when they want? I'd love for him to be there, but I understand why he's not, and if anything, it's his fault just as much as it is ROH's.
