I think the reasoning is that it's Chicago, like they said above, but c'mon, he did one event.
They'll might as well go and induct Liberache and Gennifer Flowers, while they're at it.
No wonder Bruno wants nothing to do with the WWE.

If they were going to induct anybody from Chicago, why not the Road Warriors?

I rather see Lawrence Taylor Agreed. He humbled Bam Bam, like back in old country.

I rather see Lawrence Taylor Agreed. He humbled Bam Bam, like back in old country. I know I was 13 then, but I was at WrestleMania 11, and I'm fairly certain that LT did not bend Bam Bam over. I'd remember mid-match sodomy.

I odn't know, I would like to see William Perry in the HOF. He was good in the Battle Royale; LT would be good too. Yeah, he only had one match, but he pulled off some moves that it takes awhile to learn how to do correctly.

LT and Mr. T are the only other 2 celebrities I can think of that could be inducted.

There are several non-wrestling celebrities that deserve induction LONG before Perry should even be considered.
Mr. T was a participant in WM1's main event, and in a boxing match in WM2. He also played a main role in Rocky 3, which many credit for helping put Hulk Hogan on the map.
Cyndi Lauper was Wendi Richter's manager in WM1, was affiliated with Captain Lou Albano, and was a major player in the Rock/Wrestling connection of the era.
Bob Uecker did commentary and interviews in WM3 and WM4, and was a part of one of the most widely used cilps in WM flashbacks. (Where he was getting choked out by Andre.)
Mike Tyson was the centerpiece of the DX angle leading into WM 14, and was the outside ref during the match itself.
Perry was nothing more than 1 of 10 football players in a battle royale. He wasn't even the biggest name of the bunch. He didn't really do anything memorable. If they're going to induct Perry, they should induct all 10 in a lot.

I agree with everything you said...but Wrestlemania's in Chicago and that has-been fat slob will get a babyface pop.

That's what's sad. The celebrity wing is a complete joke, and takes away from whatever legitimacy the rest of the HOF has.
Pete rose was inducted (a) to generate a bit of extra buzz, and (b) in an attempt to stick it to the MLB who refuse to induct him.
Fridge is getting inducted not for his non-existent accomplishments, but to get a cheap pop. If WM were being held anywhere but Chicago, would he even have been considered? I very highly doubt it.
There ARE celebrities who deserve an induction because of their contributions. Fridge isn't one of them.

I wonder if the Fridge had to sign one of those so-called "Legends" contracts.

Should be Mr. T since he IS from Chicago.
And if the WWE wanted to induct an Chicago Bears player, would rather see Walter Payton in the HOF than the fat slob William Perry.
Yes, he never was in WM, but atleast he was at Summerslam 94 somewhat helping Razor win the IC title from Diesel.
