If you had the choice, would you rather run a wrestling promotion were you had the big financial backer and the big bucks to sign who you wanted, or be the upstart promotion and build yourself from the ground up with homegrown talent?

Honestly I take the easier side on big budget. Why? because I want to give wrestling fans what they want on TV and mainstream. With so many unhappy with WWE and Impact Wrestling. I want to put on that show they want to see and are happy with more then the others. With all the stories about how under paid IW talent is. Maybe I can get a bunch of the good ones to jump.
And have the money to bring in the top indies guys. Easier yes money wise to go and sign whoever. BUt the challenge is to make mainstream fan happy as well as networks. Upstart challenge is suriving and trying to grow and make money.

Well, I'd take the money. But I'd want freedom to run things my way. I wouldn't want to have to waste the money on light shows and fireworks and gaudy sets.

I'd be fond of things like paying for and taking care of talent, so I'd want the money.

The bigger, the better. I would run in 1,000,000 seat stadiums if I could.

When you say "small time", are you talking about ROH/CHIKARA when they first started out, PWG/CZW running about one show a month, or IWA Mid-South not paying talent and "closing down" more times than Terry Funk's retired?

I'd take the big budget, but I's still use it to build homegrown talent. I don't want a bunch of old hasbeens.

Nothing more satisfying than growing your own promotion. There is something very special when your first show draws 15 people to having to add seats because your drawing more than expected.

Depends. If I had the big budget, would there be requirements I would have to fufill? Am I going to have a TV show every week? Do I have to book it myself or can I get others to help me? Cause, I can see myself getting REALLY burnt out creativley I have to book shows every week and have to do certain things that I don't want to impress the higher ups. Honestly, I think I would be much happier booking a show every month or so with local talent.

I would like to be the upstart promotion with homegrown talent...Cause in the last couple years I have found local talent to be sometimes better than what WWE/TNA can come up with.

I'd take the money and build an indy company out of it.
A company like CHIKARA or PWG with an unlimited budget is pretty much unstoppable.

Indy company with an unlimited budget is how TNA started. Just not that easy TNA had a very limited budget and almost shut down 3 times.

Indy company with an unlimited budget is how TNA started. Just not that easy No they didn't have unlimited budget. Jeff and Jerry almost went poor in like 3 months. As said 3 times almost went out before Panda Energy came along. Two former wrestlers/ Bookers do not have the money to be unlimited fun for a wrestling company. More so when they never where big money making wrestlers. Even now there not unlimited budget. If there was we wouldn't have stories of under paid talent. How people are not getting money for injuries and why there not on the road with all impacts and PPVs.
