It seems to me that adults are supposed to enjoy drinking wine, drive SUVs, stop wearing T-shirts (especially T-shirts of their favourite bands), keep their hair short and boring, mindlessly consume, and live like yuppies. If you enjoy playing video games, you're supposed to stop doing that as soon as you become an adult, apparently.

Never really experienced this since my parents really liked things deemed "childish". My dad's a HUMONGOUS Star Wars mark & my mom's a comic book fan. She doesn't read them that much anymore but she understands why I geek out over them. Plus she likes video games that focus on emotions or thinking (Uncharted, Portal, Braid, Shadow of The Colossus). So I've never really grew up with the stigma that I must automatically focus on "adult" things. That being said I'm a mark for Mad Men.

I think in Mr. Ifans eyes we are suppose to like being drunk and pushing female security guards at a convention. You know what adults like to do!

On the other hand, 80s music is practically oldies now, so at least my love for new wave and hair metal keeps me somewhat mature (posted while playing unreal tournament). 80's music is played heavily on our "Oldies" station now, and early 90's rock has started being played on the "Classic Rock" station. I heard Enter Sandman on a classic rock station recently. "Rapture" by Blondie (complete with Debbie Harry-rap in the middle) on the oldies station. "How Does It Feel" by New Order. Yep, oldies station. Anything by the Cars? Oldies. Metallica, Pearl Jam & Alice In Chains? "Classic rock". Motley Crue, Poison? "Classic rock". The Doors? BOTH!
