I tell you what; I would be all for it if it was online co-op. A proper online multiplayer on the other hand gets a big hell no from me.

Unlike the Kotaku posting on this, I'm pleased with this decision. Similar to Dead Rising 2, the drop-in-drop-out co-op (which is what I'm assuming this is) was a nice feature that didn't change the core game, but DID open up new opportunities. Also, I am expecting, if it IS co-op, that the second player will, similar to Fable 3 and Dead Rising 2, be their version of their character, just from, I don't know, a "different reality/universe" or so.

Cool. It's the next logical step in the series, with the gameplay getting closer and closer to Gears with every installment.

Except doing it wrong. :^\ It may look like Gears of War gameplay, but it sure as hell doesn't play like Gears of War gameplay. As I've said earlier, the Mass Effect games are too clumsy for deathmatch style multiplayer. It just doesn't feel right for a TPS.

Heck I think Gears is way too clumsy for multiplayer deathmatch. Though it's a great singleplayer/co-op game. ME3 co-op could be pretty awesome, but keep deathmatch out of it.

Swerve. The multiplayer component is just world wide high-score list for the scanning minerals from the planets.

As long as the best ending stuff that's easier to get by co-op isn't complete BS by just playing the singleplayer (basically if it's like ME1 or ME2 or even a little worse, we're good), I'm down.
I'm super-down if I get to roll a female turian or salarian. Or an elcor, period.

But seriously, it would be pretty cool if they added more races playable than just races that have already been companions. I'm all for playing as a krogan or a turian, but there's plenty of races that would be very interesting to play as, even if it would be a bit complicated. (Elcor, hanar, there's probably more I'm forgetting.) ....but no batarians. Seriously, f*** batarians.

Video further explaining the online. Yes, you can play as other races besides humans, and you can pick any of the classes.
