A new ad for Mass Effect 3 by South African retailer BT Games has reunited the ongoing question of whether the game will contain multiplayer. According to the ad, a bullet point in the collector's edition of the game says that it will contain an "online multiplayer pass and more." BioWare still hasn't confirmed or denied multiplayer support for the game, and nothing official has been announced. It looks like we may not have a solid answer until the game actually releases. -411mania Not sure why this game needs a multiplayer component in the least.

All games on the PS3/360 need an online multiplayer mode of some kind.

As long as it doesn't hamper the single player experience, I got no problem with it.

I'd like a Mass Effect multiplayer as long as they don't neglect the single player game to make it.

I actually wouldn't really mind if it was some kind of co-op mode. That still counts as online multiplayer.
But if it was like a head to head battle mode, unless they completely make the combat gameplay like a normal third person shooter, there is no way in hell it would work all that well. Let's be honest, as a TPS, the Mass Effect games are clunky as all f*** gameplay wise.

Co-op could be tasty, I hadn't actually even considered that. Of course I'd need to
a) Upgrade to Gold or buy a PS3 if it is online only b) Make friends

If it's co-op, that'd be sexy. If it's deathmatch, meeeeeeeeeeeh.

Another thing is that it could be something like the Cerberus Network in ME2 or all the extra crap in Dragon Age 2.

I hate having achievements be unfulfilled because I don't do the online thing.

Co-op mode would allow me to possibly play as an otherwise-NPC like Garrus or Tali.
So I would be totally fine with this.

Meh, I personally hate it when great single player games are being spoon fed multiplayer elements, but as long as it's not part of the actual single player game and they don't take away from it I don't care.
