This is an incredible game, I've been following as many live games as you can in America (a lot of 5 AM nights). These teams have always stuck out to me I think I'm at the point I want to pick a team to root for next year, if anyone wants to suggest one I'd suggest the Bulldogs since they're my team but you might like to look at the Greater Western Sydney Giants who come in next year if you want to jump on early.

21 points now. Geelong look like they've got the ascendancy.

Tom Hawkins is my Norm Smith medallist. He just tore the momentum from Collingwood.

Tom Hawkins is my Norm Smith medallist. He just tore the momentum from Collingwood. Same here. I swear that there was like a 5 minute period where every Geelong mark inside the 50 was by Hawkins. 37 points in front now with less than 5 minutes to go... I'd call it done.

It's all over! For the third time in 5 years, Geelong are your AFL champions!

Well, what do you know? Jimmy Bartel won the Norm Smith medal.

Can't complain about Bartel winning. He has an impact in the middle during the first half and was very effective as a marking forward in the second.
I still would have gone Hawkins but Bartel still deserves it also.

Also, Leon Davis looks like he might not retain the title for worst finals performance thanks to Alan Didak.

Well done to The Cats, they were brilliant today. 3 wins out of 4 Grand Final appearances in 5 years and before that they had not won one since the 60s. So they are a hell of team. They will go down in History. If your looking for a team to jump on. Jump on the Hawthorn Hawks. They have some great exciting players and they will probably win Premiership in the next three years (well they damn well better )

Take that Collingwood, I saw some supports crying. But I think Geelong deserved this one, they've been working so hard.

Rioli has had some hamstring issues over the season. I'm hoping he will have a better season in 2012. And feel sorry for the Tigers. They could of had Franklin. But instead they took Richard Tambling who is no longer at the Tigers (Languishing at the Crows). Well, and Tambling is not a bad player... But he is like the Ryan Leaf of the AFL.

Now I love Luke Hodge who they picked instead of Judd, Hodge is in fact my favorite Hawks player, he is the captain of the team and won the Norm Smith Medal when the Hawks won the Grand Final in 08. But it's Chris Judd. ----- Anyway to bring it back on topic. Mick Malthouse has said will no longer be associated with Collingwood in any way, and would rather just retire (for now ) then take up the Director of Coaching position.

Great match. I wasn't sure how my Cats would do without Gary Ablett, but we're Champions again. Dynasty.
