And in this new Issue #1, CHANGES ABOUND!!!
Legion: You don't read Cosmic Marvel anymore. In fact, you don't read Marvel at all. You're exclusively a DC fan now.
Mikey Cee: You're evil now.
And apparently, I get a new costume straight out of the '90s. Now to find some stuff to fill those pouches with.
Oh, and Joker-Sting, Baldobomb, Jackrabbit $lim, and Doctor Doom don't exist in the new continuity...yet? (The answer is no.)
So now...get to ripping on Flashpoint more, and all other Comic-Con news we haven't yet discussed for some reason.

Well, not sure what else to say about the new reboot or Flashpoint except how Thomas Batman and Martha Joker just add way more subtext to the old Batman/Joker relationship that most people never really wanted. Oh, and hearing everything about how everything still happened to everyone in the Batfamily, but just shorter, it seems Barbara Gordon was only Oracle for an afternoon, since the new series has her rehabilitated and out of college, and quicker than normal cause she's a child prodigy that loves to party. I'll still get the new Batgirl series, just so they never put her in the chair again and piss off all the Oracle/Birds of Prey fans. Hey, I'm evil! Well, there's the new Green Lantern series preview from SDCC. CG's a bit weird, but since it's a Bruce Timm series, it'll be the BESTESTS EVAH! Still don't get how they have a Red Lantern MODOK, and have the guy who does the voice for him in Super Hero Squad do his voice here, Tom "Spongebob made me more money than you" Kenny. Yes, I know he isn't actually MODOK, and he probably is a 60 year old character, but come on! Also, this: For those that thought we needed a crossover crazier than the one with The Punisher....

Well, that Archie Meets KISS comic can't be anymore worse than the other KISS-themed comics. (Not counting the Marvel one from the 70s, of course.)

Yeah, I love DC, I'm a total DC fanboy........but then I read they were rebootin everything, so now I hate them and think I will try Marvel.
Maybe I will try some of their space based stuff.
Oh yeah, except they cancelled the lot because too many people are so closed minded and wont read anything without Spiderman or Wolverine plastered on the front cover of them.

And because DnA are too busy with New Mutants to bother defending the cosmic Marvel books that no one read.

So yeah Marvel's launching a book called Villains for Hire. Where Misty Knight gets a group of Villains who are looking for either A) Redemption B) Paychecks C) Shits and Giggles
Sounds very familiar no?

Or may even just be a story arc in Heroes for Hire. It's not replacing Thunderbolts.

WHY did no one read DnA's cosmic stuff? It was great; one of my best random decisions ever was picking up Annihilation: Nova #1 on a whim. And obviously someone somewhere agreed, otherwise Nova and Rocket Raccoon wouldn't be in UMvC.
Been reading X-Men: Schism. First X book I've read in a LONG time, but enjoying it so far. There's a nice tension considering the endpoint (Cyclops vs Wolverine) has already been established; it's interesting to see just how they get there. Also, enjoyed the first chapter of Spider Island. Something about the way Slott wrote The Jackal as this completely insufferable genius really worked for me.

umm... can Grant Morrison write some kind of awesome story about me that makes this whole revamp look stupid like he did in Animal Man? because then I could exist again.

I read all the cosmic stuff and I loved it. all I'm missing is oversized Annihilation and Annihilation: Conquest HCs. maybe next time I go to Toronto I'll pick 'em up. I'm still not sold on this "Schism" thing. sure, the story itself seems good and the further away from Matt Fraction the X-verse gets the better, but there are about a hundred characters who'd make better leaders of a side than Wolverine. I'm sorry, the guy's just not a leader.

Why does Marvel have like 3 events going on at the same time?
Either way I'm enjoying the new venom series.
