With interest rates the way they are today keeping money in a sock under the mattress will probably make you more money then keeping it in a regular savings account.
And I'm barely half kidding.
But to answer the question yes, although my stuff is actually quite diverse beyond checking/savings.

Savings account and a couple of CDs. Account has a lousy interest rate, but that's par for the course right now. The CDs are slightly higher, just can't use the money until the CD is completed.

I had started to get some money into a savings account a while back but then was laid off and had to drain it, so currently no, but my plan is to put money towards paying the 2 bills that I have off and then filling that thing up like it's nobody's business.

I opened a money market account earlier this year and switched to a better checking account that pays interest.
Plus, I save a good amount of my paychecks each month. Not having a lot of expenses helps too.

I have money saved in both a savings account and a checking account, although my checking gets better interest rates (advantages of a credit union) than I would have gotten in any other way at the place I bank at.

Roughly 20,000 in savings (mostly student loan refunds) then an additional whatever is in the wife's retirement account.

Few RRSP's, a Tax Free Savings account and some other money. I try not to think about it. It's there, that's about all.
