I've got a little bit of extra money and I'm strongly considering buying an Electronic Cigarette starter kit. I've heard good things about them but I've also been warned that some of the cheaper brands are crap. So here's my dilemma; I want something that's high in quality but not too steep.
Green Smoke has a starter kit for $129.99 that comes with 2 batteries, USB charger, 10 cartridges, and the actual e-cig. The refill cartridges are 16.99 for only 5. Apparently it's the top brand, but damn that sounds more expensive than smoking real cigarettes.
Smoketip is also supposedly a good brand, and their starter kit is only $59.95. Comes with 2 batteries, 6 cartridges, 1 wall charger, 1 USB charger, and a carrying case. The refill cartridges are $17.95 for 10. Definitely cheaper, but at what cost?
So has anyone tried these? Got any recommendations? It'd be great if someone has tried Smoketip. Thanks in advance homies.

It's less then smoking in the long run.

It's less then smoking in the long run. Oh, well that's good. Definitely sounds like something I wanna try, I should quit smoking (again) anyways.

I'd never heard of these before.
So do they not contain any actual nicotine?

I don't know which brand but my Dad's been using an e-cig to quit and it's been working really well. He's tried other methods but the e-cig is the only one that's actually worked.

I thought they were a load of rubbish until I actually tried on. I stole a friend's menthol E-Cig and enjoyed it. Problem is, I'm a heavy smoker so I just ended up puffing away on this thing for about three hours. If you're highly addicted, you won't let it go. Ever.
Plus, they're quite heavy (at least the one I used was) and takes a little while to adjust. There's also the fun involved in saying to people "Hey, look at this!" then pressing the 'flame' against your face/tongue. Before they realise it's a fake ciggy, the look on their face is utterly priceless.

a friend gave me a bunch of them. I hate them. I basically use them when I run out of other smokes. On a plus side, the "smoke" that comes off of them is only water vapor, so nobody can say anything for "smoking" inside

On a plus side, the "smoke" that comes off of them is only water vapor, so nobody can say anything for "smoking" inside Most places will still toss you out. I know in my state we still toss people out of Government buildings for "smoking" them. Has to do with that fact that you are still "smoking something", because the laws were not written to pick solely on tobacco products. For instance, you can't smoke cloves either.

Just keep in mind folks, that these do nothing to lower the cardiovascular risks or other dangers associated with the nicotine itself and not the smoke.
Better than smoking in the long run obviously, but it still isn't the ideal.
