Couldn't be happier. Sheamus is probably my favorite guy on the roster right now.
And I have to ask: are people more upset about Sheamus winning or Jericho not winning?

At the end of the day Jericho doesn't need to add a Rumble win to his resume. Plus, the little face off Jericho and Sheamus had was amazing, AND we might get that Bryan/Sheamus WM match this year.
I'm extremely pleased by this.

So, how many people were complaining before the Rumble about how predictable it is, and how just once it would be nice to push someone from the midcard into the main event?

Great final two, but the Rumble itself was crap outside the ending fight and the Ricardo spot. The first 20 guys didn't matter at all. Cody and Miz, the two had controlled the first 2/3 of the Rumble were just randomly eliminated like they were nothing when the Big Show came in at #30. Wade talked about winning the Rumble for what seemed like forever and he gets eliminated in less than five minutes. The announcers spot could have been fun, but it was really just a waste of time and another way for Cole to talk about how he beat King at something.
And Jericho's 'End of the World' came to be absolutely nothing. Build up for four weeks with Jericho not touching anyone...and then he enters the Rumble normally and just wrestles like he usually does. Nothing different at all. I'm sure it's more of a, 'HEY! YOU GOTTA WAIT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS TOMORROW!', but the Jericho storyline just keeps contradicting itself.

Sheamus becomes the 6th man who has won both the KOTR and the Rumble.
Eh..

He certainly needed it a lot more than the 6-time world champion/DWTS contestant/unquestioned future Hall of Famer did. I like Jericho, but Sheamus benefits from it a lot more. Besides if WWE wants Punk/Jericho, they can still book it. This is the kind of logical booking we beg this company to use, and they use it, and people bitch and moan.

At least someone who has never won it before won this year. And the year before that. And before that. And before that. And before that. And before that.

On one hand, I'm happy... some of us know why. On the other... well... Punk/Jericho can still happen... but where do they fit Orton now? He seems to be above inter-brand grudge match level.

I just hope this ends better for Sheamus than the last time he was royalty.

Totally Jericho not winning here. I'll admit it. I've already read a ton of "____ doesn't need it" and "____ makes more sense". I swear some people forget what actually being a FAN is. I wanted my favorite guy to win, and he didn't, so I'm let down. Congrats to the Sheamus fans, but that was a terrible let down on my end.

That
was
awesome.
Seriously, I wanted Jericho to win but Sheamus winning doesn't bother me at all. Fella has done a great job of getting over, and the possibility of Sheamus and Daniel Bryan having the match they didn't get last year at Wrestlemania, except this time for the world title, is making me lick my lips in anticipation.

Meh I like Sheamus, generally, but there's something tedious about him now that I can't quite place my finger on. Jinder Mahal.

I SO wanted Jericho to win it like most, I like Sheamus but I'm a little disappointed. Ah well fella, at least it wasn't Orton or Show!

Jericho doesn't need the rumble to boost Punk/Jericho. The match sells itself does it not?

I don't love it. I wanted Jericho to win, but if Sheamus sticks to Smackdown, then it's whatever.
