I can understand pretty much all of the omissions. Kane, Henry, Cena. Goldust is the most baffling. Especially with Cody lasting and doing so well, I would've had money down that Goldust comes out and eliminates Cody starting the Brothers War.

No one. No one at all. That's how sapped the roster is. There isn't a single active, uninjured wrestler on the fulltime roster who wasn't on the card tonight who would've garnered any reaction at all.
Though even given how played out his act is these days, Hornswoggle probably would've still gotten a bigger pop out there than Jinder Mahal or the lone, first-nameless Uso.

I refuse to believe that Heath Slater getting demolished by somebody wouldn't get a reaction

I like the Usos, but Jey's spot should have gone to Goldust.
Have Goldy eliminate Cody, couldn't be worse than him getting unceremoniously tossed by Big Show.

Kane, if only because the hype videos kept mentioning how close he was to the record.

Jimmy Uso.
He's the better Uso anyways.

I'm just glad that it wasn't JR who came out when Cole was prancing around the ring...

He's still on the roster, can still go (as evidenced by his matches with Ambrose and Bryan in the last couple of months), and had a few signs in the crowd if you noticed.

Isn't Regal almost exclusively a commentator these days? He hardly seems to get matches anymore except in the UK on overseas tours. We had three other commentators enter the Rumble, none of whom have close to the ability that Regal still has at this point (no offense to Booker intended, because I just really love Regal). I mean, if they're not going to give Jimmy Uso a spot, I don't see the point in having Jey come in over Regal. Then again, I still want Regal to get the EC shot against Bryan (like Lawler did against Miz last year).

Screw the whole "protecting Kane" thing. Have Kane come in at 30, eliminate a few people, then Cena, who has had time to recover from the chokeslam (which, BTW, he got some SERIOUS ups for) comes out and eliminates him and they brawl to the back.

I figured Christian would be a surprise entrant. Isn't he pretty much all healed up now?

Kane because the Rumble numbers video built up the side story that Kane was going for Michaels's elimination record. It also ends his Rumble streak.

DiBiase doesn't count. He broke his hand. Hell, they even bothered to explain it with Hunico attacking him last week. actually he came out with an already injured hand, and they admitted it. It made me think he would be working through it.

I'm glad some of the injured guys weren't involved, esp. Henry & DiBiase, but also the longer-term injured guys like Rey, Alberto, Sin Cara, Christian or Taker
no need to rush anything

Hunico not dodging an elimination by landing on the bike and riding it around the ring was the biggest booking omission ever.

It made me think he would be working through it. Yeah, but the fact that Hunico assaulted it even further told me he wasn't going to be in the Rumble.

I was expecting Kane to enter an eliminate a bunch of guys until Cena enters (as an entrant or not) and attack Kane, throwing both men over the top rope and brawling to the backstage. I really expected that to happen to further their feud yet it somehow didn't.
I wasn't explicitly expecting RVD, but I was thinking about him and that he might return as a surprise entrant. I think the crowd would have popped HUGE for that.
