Remember in the Vegas shoot Punk said that he could go to New Japan Pro Wrestling or Ring of Honor, because he wasn't going to resign with WWE? Do you believe that Punk would actually start wrestling for ROH again? I know he loves the business, but ROH can't pay him what WWE had for 6 years. Punk said in an interview with Ariel Helwani that he was goal oriented. What goals could he accomplish in ROH? Maybe he had a far-fetched dream of turning ROH into new ECW?

I think Punk has enough passion for wrestling to accept whatever they payed him, imagine the matches he could have in ROH today with who they have.

I think he would do some matches and appearances with them, but I don't know if he'd do it fulltime.
He would have a far higher chance of working with them than TNA, though.

Much like lance storm, punk seems pretty frugal with his money.
When he retires/leaves wwe if he still had the desire he'd be able to work with roh what ever they paid him. Much like storm running his school

I REALLY wanted him to show up at an ROH show with the belt.

I REALLY wanted him to show up at an ROH show with the belt. He didn't for the same reason he didn't do that to ROH. It's fine to threaten it, and it's a fun idea, but it'd also create a whole lot of legal problems, like when Ric Flair did that with WCW's belt.

He would've been the big fish in the little pond if he did go to ROH. He could have been one of their stepping stones onto becoming the second biggest wrestling federation.

It would've been okay, if he got permission from WWE (and if his leaving was entirely in storyline only). I'm sure WWE doesn't see ROH as competition, so I don't think there would've much of a problem working something out; if they had decided to go in that direction.

We could have seen Davey Richards have kickfests with CM Punk instead of Eddie "Eddie Edwards" Edwards.

I thought it would be cool if he showed up to several indy shows and put the belt on the line...it would make the angle really believable to the fans.

Considering Vince allowed Punk to mention Ring of Honor, and even allowed Matt Hardy to plug ROH in 2005, I think it wouldn't have been a problem. Of course then they rushed Punk's return, and all that went out the window.

I can't see him going back unless Bryan and Joe go back with him.
