I can't believe some sites are reporting that they may wait until Final Battle before having Steen and Richards happen. Why does this company always do things 6 months too late?

It's part of the reason I have grown disillusioned with them. Yeah the matches are good but drawing stuff out well past it's use by date has killed it for me. They did it with Nigel, Black and Richards and it caused fan backlash. Now they have lightening yet again with Steen and I really hope they don't wait too long. I get the build they are going for and not wanting to rush it but to hold off until Dec. would be ridiculous, IMO. Best in the World 2012 looks like Cole/Richards so it wont be then. Death Before Dishonor 2012 would be an interesting show for it to happen given the title but that may be a little late as well.

I was not that interested in the show going in, but about an hour before it started I decided to order it at last minute and overall Im glad about the purchase. Pretty good action and the last two matches were really well done. There was really no hype in the main event so the beginning was a little flat but after the first ten minutes I started getting into it and it turned out to be a great match. I can't believe some sites are reporting that they may wait until Final Battle before having Steen and Richards happen. Why does this company always do things 6 months too late? I have a feeling they will have Steen vs. Richards at Best in the World with Cornette getting involved costing Steen the match and making the double turn complete. Then the feud will continue with Steen getting the belt at Final Battle.

You can't say for certain that it will be Final Battle. That's what everyone was saying when Eddie won the title, that that's when Davey would challenge Eddie for the title.

Mike Bennett is the best heel in the world Without Maria to go off of on his promos, he's one of the blandest dudes on the roster. While on Bennett, can anyone explain Brutal Bob? What is his relevance? Why is he there?? What does he do? What exactly makes him so brutal? Has this ever been explained Thought overall the show was well worth the $10 spent on it though Only things that were ridiculous that I can recall: Main event and the kick outs. Come on dudes, Davey Richards is like 5' 4'' and under 200 pounds and kicked out of every finisher of all time as well as 12346743 super stiff kicks~! shots, etc. Same to Edwards and MMA O'Reilly. Will say that it was great to see them let Cole get the win though. But to a point it does become slightly overkill. I thought Davey and Eddie had a HELL of a match at Final Battle as well...uptil it ran 15 minutes over with the ridiculousness and kick outs . The Goodness: Homicide back, if only for a night Steen and Jacobs absolutely killed it in their match, Jimmy reverting back to crazy person with the spike was fantastic. Also really enjoyed the stuff between Kingston and Steen, glad to see ROH and Chikara working together, really looking forward to anything that comes of this House O Truth vs. Red and TJ was solid as s***. Roddy and Red also had a pretty solid match at one of the last PWG shows as well. Elgin seems to grow on me every match he has. Just a big brick s*** house with the man power to strike fear in the hearts of most. Thought Lethal and Ciampa had a decent match as well, although I'm hoping they leave the strap on Lethal for as long as possible(likely won't happen) With the exception of the main event going into overkill mode, the show was YES! YES! YES! YES!

I liked the main event but I do agree: somebody needs to put a limit on the time they spend kicking out. To me, you could have chopped about 5-7 off of it and it would have been a superior match than it was.

He is an outlaw in the wrestling business for going to far in the ring and in training people. As for why he's still there now, Cornette refuses to think that his stuff could possibly fail so Bob stays even though he he's been a complete failure and done nothing but make Bennett (who already seemed 3rd rate indy wannabe before) look even more indy wannabe than seemed possible.

Thanks for the explanation good sir. And if Cornette really is reason the guys still around that's something(as generally I agree with Cornette) but Bob adds....nada...nothing. Agree with the latter of what you said as well. Nothing severely against Bennett here, I actually thought his promo at Final Battle was the tits, but when it comes to actually working and going beyond talking and Maria on his arm, 3rd rate indy about sums him up. Dude looks great physically, can talk a little, but just none of his matches or in ring stuff has stuck.

I like Brutal Bob on paper but his look and mannerisms, I don't know it diminishes the overall package. For as narcissistic as Bennett's supposed to be it just doesn't seem in his character to keep Brutal Bob around. Brutal Bob, Mike Bennett and Maria just seem like weird travelling buddies.
I don't know if Cornette is the reason he's around because I think Brutal Bob predates Cornette's recent run in ROH but he's certainly not stopping him either. It might not even be so much that there isn't a place for him in the company, he's cartoony but so is Truth Martini and I think Truth is just flat out awesome, but Bennett can talk, work, and has Maria anyways so Brutal Bob doesn't really have a purpose.

Pretty simple booking here:
Cornette screws Steen out of the title at BITW
Steen gets it in Canada for the big PPV (likely DBD 10)
Steen vs. Generico for the title at FB

I was pretty saddened by the complete lack of crowd response when Jacobs revealed his AOTF gear. I thought that was a pretty neat moment, but Nigel was the only person who seemed to notice it. At least he sold it to the audience though.

I hope Red and Homicide get signed. They could use them as regulars. As far as Steen-Richards if that happens past BITW12 they dropped the ball

At least he sold it to the audience though. I marked out as soon as I saw the coat. Didn't surprise me that the crowd didn't though, aside from the "YES!" chants I thought they were useless all night. Really hate RoH crowds sometimes. And Nigel's commentary is brilliant as a whole IMO, the guy is probably the best colour commentator in wrestling today.

Homicide? WHY? The guy's been horrible since 2009. He's a shell of his former self.
