Don't worry, it's just the first level of Wily's Castle. After that you never hear it again. In MM8 do you at least get to save after beating each stage in the castle? Or is it like the other games where you have to do the whole castle with the lives that you have? I'm currently stuck in MM2 on Wily Stage 2, the part where you have to dodge the spiked balls of instant death as you fall. I had like 6 lives when I got to that and wasted them all. Gonna take a break for the night lol. MegaMan is much harder without save states. I forget with it...but you can stop into other levels you've beaten before between levels of Wily's castle to restock if needed. Have the exit unit ready and you're all set.

Woah, the complete works versions of Rockman 1-6 sounds awesome. The original NES games with clearer visuals and remixed soundtracks for the Playstation. I would love to play those but they're Japanese only. Maybe I can find a way... I seen those on the PSN I think.

I picked up Kirby's Dream Land for Game Boy and the Super Game Boy. Super Game Boy is so awesome. I loved that thing when I was a kid. Never played Kirby on the Game Boy, but I'm assuming it's similar to the NES game so it's probably a good buy.

I beat Mega Man 8 last nigh. Gotta admit, the final Wily fight was pretty hard. It was very satisfying when I finally beat him. And the reward for beating MM8 is amazing. I unlocked the first episode of the Mega Man cartoon. That was f***ing glorious.

Yeah no power-ups and it's really easy even by Kirby standards, you'll complete it in one go the first time you play it. It's still a good polished game though just don't expect something as brilliant as the NES game.
As for the Super Gameboy I played Donkey Kong ('94) on it and it really improved an already excellent game, Kirby doesn't really benefit much from it though.

Oh man, I would hate to play a Kirby game with no powerups. That sounds awful.
I got very drunk last night and it actually helped my platforming skills! I played through Mega Man 4, 5, and 6 back to back. I didn't even bother looking up boss weaknesses (though I remembered some). Now all that's left for me to beat is Mega Man 1 and I'll have conquered the anniversary collection (even ran through the arcade games last night). Oh Mega Man 1...how I've avoided you.
