Pregnant is that woman's default setting, I swear.
I'm all for freedom to do what you want, and if machine-gunning out young'uns is what she wants in life...well, aside from it speaking to a psychological oddity who am I to judge? I mean, sure the fact that she seems to specifically need to take care of a baby, as in when one starts to grow up another one gets popped out, is somewhat concerning, though by all accounts she's a great mom to all of her kids.
Here's the thing, I have friends who have 10 kids, all relatively close in age, but only one set of twins. I know how much of a toll it takes on the mom because she constantly seems worn out (who could blame her, I know) and almost depressed. Realizing that Duggar has twice as many children is, frankly, beyond frightening psychologically.
Point blank, she may love her children and be a wonderful mom, and I'm not going to disparage or doubt that she honestly cares, but at some point the physical and psychological stress is going to kick in. It has to, and when it does she will either become exceedingly resentful or depressed, possibly to a dangerous level. Consider this. The woman has spent the entirity of her adult life either pregnant, raising at least one small child (no small feat in itself) or both at the same time.

I really don't think the human body is really meant to take the abuse that comes with producing 20 kids, and that's before you get to the stress that comes with raising the other 19.

They were running a scroll on TLC last night (yeah, my gf and I watch CAKE BOSS sometimes...so?) saying the Duggars had a special announceme--and even before reading the rest I knew it'd be that they're pregnant again.

It's all done with a purpose. It's part of the religious movement they belong to.

OK, did some reseaerch, the highest number of children born to one mother is 69, to a Russian woman. 67 of the kids survived. What's interesting is that it was in only 27 separate pregnancies, meaning that the majority of her kids were twins or multiple birth occasions. Not sure how many of Duggar's kids are multiple birth situations, but as far as the most times in the hospital to give birth she could be closing in on a record.

*ugh*
My daughter loves this show, but I can't stand it!
The 19th kid was born a preemie & soon enough, her body won't really be able to take it.
They exploit their kids for the tv show just as Kate Gosselin did. People complained about Kate & these folks are just as guilty, as far as I'm concerned.
They have this gigantic house yet they have all the boys sleep in 1 room, all the girls sleep in 1 room, & they make the kids do manual labor...and I don't mean your typical chorse manual labor.
Such as making these kids help build the house...a construction site is no place for children. Who cares if it's cost saving, it's not safe. Or making the kids clean the inside of a house that is destroyed, has dead animals in it, & feces. Oh yeah, both these things were shown in an episodes I have watched with my daughter.
And you never see the kids go off to play with other kids.

Jim Bob Duggar is extremely wealthy, don't think they need to worry about hurting for money like Useless Gosselin.

And you never see the kids go off to play with other kids. Hell, per the parents, the older kids are responsible for helping to raise the younger, parenting by "buddy system". Translation, most of these kids will not have had childhoods since they get funneled into surrogate parent roles at ane earlier and earlier age. Going to bust out psychological probability again, just because I can. Take a kid who was raising younger siblings from early in life, shelter them to the point where they only socialize with, essentially, hand picked "friends", have them constantly followed by TV cameras, and then see what happens when one of them gets out in the real world to go college or what have you. One of them will rebel, and it won't be "oh I did a keg stand" it will be Fear and Loathing levels of insanity because they'll be discovering things they've never even heard of everywhere they look.

She knows there are nearly seven billion people on the planet now right? I mean sex is great and all but even smokers take the cigarettes out of their mouths sometimes.

The only time the woman isn't pregnant is literally when she's recovering from the previous pregnancy it seems.
That's gotta be an odd way to live.
