Every Am before catching the bus for school, I was right there tuned to Nickelodeaon. And if you were really hard core you probably watched Spartacus and the Sun Beneath the Sea.

I remember all three, though only vaguely.

It seems like something I probably should... and the intro seems familiar but I don't remember anything about the show so it might have been slightly before my time

I remember Cities of Gold vaguely...but not the other one, though it does sound familiar. I also remember The Little Prince and Bell and Sebastian somewhat better.

I remember seeing it on Nickelodeon during the early 90's. I had cable for a few short years as a child and I just loved shows like this.
Nothing beats A*Mazing though, that show was the bomb yo.

I don't remember it at all although I may be too young.
What year was it on?

I remember it. I loved all of the shows Nickelodeon had before they really got into original programming. It was my first real introduction to animation from other countries - not that most US animation isn't done overseas, but you know what I mean.
I still talk to people who are surprised to find out that the Adventures of the Little Koala and Noozles were two different shows.

Wow! I used to watch this in the mornings along with Today's Special, Belle and Sebastian, The Little Prince and Gumby! I must have been in first grade...1984 or so.
It would also come on during the weekends along with Pinwheel, the other aforementioned shows, Danger Mouse and Bananaman.
Brings back great memories.

I remember this, the Sparticus cartoon you mentioned (I still get the theme song stuck in my head sometimes), and the Little Prince cartoon that was mentioned.

As a kind of random note on this I saw that the sequel to Cities of Gold is currently in production which kind of blows my mind.

I'm old enough but I didn't watch it. I probably wouldn't even had known about it if my bro wasn't a fan
