Are you serious? Title's switching hands every week is what killed the wcw title belt. AT anyrate yay for ADR,I wish it was punk but as the old saying goes,Anyone but cena. Yeah I'm serious. WWE changing hands however many times >>> Any other title in the business, no matter how little it changes. Ok lets start with the obvious,The wwe title is on the same level as the replica belt I bought at the mall,The difference being it's provenance if the wwe title is given to camera guy 3 who loses it to the popcorn vendor who goes onto lose it to the valet parking guy I guarantee the fans, wrestlers,or anyone will not care about it anymore. I used the WCW title as a prime example of an extremely prestigious belt going from highly regarded to meaning nothing.

It could also mean "I respect your opinion but I'm sorry, it's not going to change mine." In reality it means your opinion differs from mine and because you presented a valid argument I cannot counter I'm going to post an obnoxious gif proclaiming you are a hater.

You want to say you respect someone's opinion but you disagree? Then why don't you actually say exactly that?

Because "People with Dissenting Opinions Gonna Be People With Dissenting Opinions" doesn't seem too catchy. Enh. It's the internet. C'est la vie. And I suppose the expressions "That's life" and "Different strokes for different folks" are gonna be considered dismissive, too?

It's specifically the use of the word "hater". What other definition is there for that than "person who hates something for little or no reason"?

It comes down to your view on the word "hate" I guess. Some people see it as something done without reason and some people see it done out of passion. It's like "I hate Cena because he's a dick who bullies superstars and thinks he's doing the right thing" so therefore, I am a Cena "hater" because I am applying the action of hate.

And the WCW title was never THAT highly prestigious.

I actually just kind of wanted to see that gif again cause I like it and thought it was relevant with Del Rio and all. Wasn't calling out anyone for being a hater.

Harping on people for gifs? It's not even a big deal.

It's not the gif, it's the phrase and the term "hater" that bothers me.

So, what was the point of him losing it for a month? The low ratings made them panic is my theory. Yep, that's what Meltzer said was the reason. Vince panicked at the low ratings and thought a title change would spike ratings.

As long as the wrestlers make it seem like the biggest deal in the world, it hasn't lost it's prestige. What matters is how many people want it and how badly they want it. To equate it with a replica belt you buy at the mall is ridiculous.

I'm losing interest in the WWE title as are roughly 85% of the viewers judging by lack of heet Rio got from winning the title, so no the WWE Title does not matter CURRENTLY, it's a relatively worthless prop noone (most fans) cares about. Compare the WWE championship and how it's prestented to Cody Rhodes promo and the NEW IC Title. Nobody even pops a face or boos a heel when they say they're going to be WWE champion, it's all about the animosity between the wrestlers, the belt is literally just there for the lulz and doesn't add a single thing to the feuds atm.
A title is only worth as much as many people care for a people holding that title. You can see UFC for proof of that or even Mexicos wrestling promotions, where the cruiserweight division is above the heavyweight division. So by not going WWE kayfabe mode but real life mode, the prestige of the titles currently goes like this:
WHC > IC > WWE > US > Tag Team > Diva
