For some reason, this feels like a Summerslam match.

I see it now...Orton's wife of the week starts attending DDP's yoga classes and he begins stalking her. It writes itself!

Doubt it will happen sadly, after the Conway Pop he received the last time he appeared on Raw.

Doubt it will happen sadly, after the Conway Pop he received the last time he appeared on Raw. I want to say if they wanted to get the proper reaction they'd have to have his initial return at some place like Atlanta. And he really would have to play the heel, as much as I hate to say it.

It would have been better for the Wrestlemania in Atlanta.

I'd watch it. I'm sure Dallas could still go fairly well for a one off appearance. Orton definitely has to go over though.

this wouldn't be a bad thing ..... it would be a GOOD THING!
only if it's motivational speaker DDP though, I loved that gimmick when I didn't care much for him in WCW.

This would have been great around 2004-2005, when Orton was still establishing himself as a "legend killer" heel. Now, as much as I love DDP, it just wouldn't mean much.

Actually, now that I think about it, you could use Jericho's Wallaby angle as a catalyst to bring DDP in, since DDP and Jericho have at the very least the recent history with Jericho doing his yoga.
Could be like, "Chris brought this to my attention at our last yoga session..."

Diamond Cutter is great than the RKO because DDP hit it from so many different ways

Shall we add Johnny Ace into this feud just to get an RKO vs Diamond Cutter vs Ace Crusher match. First one to hit their finisher wins.

I'd cringe at DDP's ring rust and the lukewarm (if lucky) reception he'd get. I love DDP, don't get me wrong. If WCW had won the war, maybe his legacy would be celebrated more and a match with RKO, even at age 55, would still matter. At least on the level of like a Sgt. Slaughter Raw match against a current superstar. Definitely wouldn't be a classic, given any circumstance, at this point.

They'd have to pretend that DDPs previous run with the company never existed and that this is the WCW version. In WWE canon , DDP was about as high on the totem pole as The Hurricane and Spike Dudley.
