Yeah, it definitely had a "fun" feel to it. Edge/Foley, HBK/Vince, Angle/Orton/Rey, and HHH/Cena were great. Show & Kane/Carlito & Masters, MITB II, JBL/Benoit, Mickie/Trish, and Taker/Henry were all decent to good. And Torrie/Candice, and Booker/Boogeyman were duds (expectedly).
But yeah, a high point in what was generally a poor year 2006.

I really enjoyed it, It was my first time going to any kind of wrestling event. I won the tickets through a trivia contest that was in the Daily Herald and I won two tickets and they were right by the stage & entrance ramp. RVD came right up to our section after winning the MITB Ladder Match and I got to get on camera. I loved it.

The last Wrestlemania I enjoyed from top to bottom; even the dud matches Boogeyman vs Booker/Sharmell and Candice vs Torrie were entertaining.

I loved Wrestlemania 22. MOTN for me was Shawn vs Vince. The entire thing was hilarious. From JR's hate-filled commentary, the battering of the Spirit Squad, Shawn's epic dancing and caning of poor Shane, JR confusing Shawn and Shane like 15 times and of course the big elbow drop. Wrestling doesn't get any more entertaining IMO.

honestly, i thought it was weak when I first watched it, only enjoying foley/edge, but it has sinced aged well and grown on me. I think my biggest beef was cena retaining, because I'm a sucker for title changes for the main event at mania, and that was the first time a champion reatined in quite some time, and even though it was fun, I thought HBK was wasted this year in his match with vince, same with the Undertaker. Being in the Allstate arena didn't help matters. (They've been in small arenas before, but this one doesn't have prestige like MSG, and Staples) But after looking back on recent manias, I have to say that this was one of the better ones of the "20's"

I loved the show. Really happy to have it in my dvd collection. Bless the guys in the production truck for cutting to the crowd for all the false finishers for Cena vs HHH. Im sure there are gifs of the reactions somewhere. Its one of the contributing factors that makes me view it so highly among Mania main events.

It had a kickass Peter Gabriel theme song and a majority of the matches were pretty entertaining and IMO it was WWE's best PPV of the terribly mehish 2006 (I don't count ECW One Night Stand II as a WWE PPV)

And oh my god, Peter Gabriels 'Big Time' is my favourite WM theme ever (other than 'My Way' obviously).

I was there. The crowd was thunderous during the Cena/Triple H match. Not AS good as 21, but it's still one of the better 20's Wrestlemanias we've had. A couple of quick notes that I found amusing;
When Shawn Michaels silly string pyro went off, the majority of it got stuck in the rafters in a nice big chunk. For the remainder of the show, they had someone out there every couple minutes trying to dislodge the damn thing.
Kane's pyro wasn't that impressive, despite sitting near it. Booker T on the other hand, as soon as it went off, I was absolutely drenched in sweat, and I was probably 60 ft. from it.

The build-up to this was so underwhelming, the expectations for this event were set very very low. I'm talking like if this was the quality 27 turned out to be, I wouldn't have been surprised.
However, 22 turned out to be a blessing to watch. It truly seemed like a Wrestlemania, from the crowd to the individual performances. I hope 28 takes a page from this.

That was definitely the impression I got from the SNME included in the DVD set, that they were really grasping for straws especially with some of the booking (Vince/HBK, Taker/Henry, Boogeyman), like JBL and Stone Cold was the most compelling thing and they weren't even going to have a match together.

This While I did like Wrestlemania 24 a little better, this one was very well done. I wasn't expecting it to be much, as Chicago had a track record of bad Manias (2 and 13), but most of this show was very well done, and I was even into Cena's match, since I thought HHH just might take the belt back.

True but the Shane vs Shawn street fight from SNME was awesome. Specifically for the suplex spot and JR getting the two mixed up

I was at this Wrestlemania, and I'll never forget how awesome the crowd was. It still gives me chills when I look back on it. The atmosphere, combined with the surprising quality of the matches (as others have said, aside from Mickie James vs. Trish, the buildup was pathetic), made for an awesome Wrestlemania. Edge vs. Foley and Cena vs. Triple H were highlights for me.
