So my memory of that time period is a bit hazy and is only really bolstered from what I've watched in retrospect. That being said, something I've gathered from reading around is that seemingly every single Nitro post-nWo formation ended with an nWo beatdown and no main event match with nWo members EVER ended clean.
How much of this is fact and how much of it is exaggeration propagated with selective memory? Then again considering much of what did go down with WCW I wouldn't be surprised if the vast majority of episodes did repeatedly end with an nWo beatdown considering how out of control the faction got over the years...

I think in the beginning, there were a number of beatdowns once Bischoff revealed himself as a member. But a number of times the show would also end with WCW guys standing tall in the ring with the nWo backing off.

I always liked it when Sting would interrupt a beatdown, and kill the NWO.
To their credit, every member of the NWO would sell their terror at seeing Sting brilliantly.

By the time Sting was being hyped for his big return, the side turned to WCW's favor, but yes, A LOT of Nitro's main events ended in DQ brawls with the nWo.

If you watched all the shows and added them up it would be lower than you imagine but it happened enough times to make people think it happened all the time.

I remember when there was something of the sort and it caused Harlem Heat to win the tag titles.

WWE needs to take note of the endings of some of those Nitros, where you weren't sure exactly what happened but you knew that you had to tune in next week to see the fall out.

I agree with that, and I admittedly haven't been following all that closely lately, but it always seems to end with a clear cut segment. A lot of the "anything can happen" feel isn't there very much(which is why the Nexus was so well received)

You can't deny that this period was exciting though. Especially 1997 there was nothing like it. Remember when Piper was assaulted by the nWo when Bischoff revealed himself as the guy behind it all.
