I know from experience. To not just be an obligatory Billy Madison response, I liked how Ghost looked. The FX looked better. Well, they actually used FX this time, last time it was a tiny real wolf. That's big tiny real wolf from last week.

The disgust didnt come across enough following the incest foreplay between Theon and Asha. He looked shocked, but not nearly disgusted enough for someone who'd just been fingering his sister whats with George R R Martin and incest anyway? Cersei & Jamie, Craster and his daughter-wives, and now this Well, that was a good episode. Not as good as last week's, but still solid. A few things: 1) My Ghost, how have you grown. 2) All hail the Church of Stannis! I'm thinking of converting to Stannisism. 3) That fire god wench is one hot piece of ACE! I know from experience. no you don't

The European affiliate will no longer be airing episodes one week in advance, if anyone was wondering.
I liked the show, but also agree that the scene with Stannis and Melissandre wasn't all that necessary. It is always hinted at in the book, but what is clearly always on the forefront is Stannis' obsession with taking what he believes is rightfully his. It never seems to be out of passion that he keeps Melissandre around, but rather, because he needs her to win this war that he believes is his to win.
I like Bronn as head of the Gold Cloaks, should provide plenty of interesting differentiations to the book. Plus, anything that gives us more Bronn is always welcome if you ask me.

Preview for next week's show. Beginnings for Renly Follow-up to Craster and Snow Tyrion making fools out of every one in sight. Damn that European HBO affiliate for no longer airing shows a week in advance

This show is too awesome for its own good. God, the Lannisters are the most hate-able villains EVER.

This show is too awesome for its own good. God, the Lannisters are the most hate-able villains EVER. I'll say it again, kudos to the actors that they chose to bring the Lannisters to life. You read the books and you think to yourself "there is no way they'll be able to bring Joff to life - he is just so loathesome" and then you tune in and see the little shit come to life perfectly. Same goes for Cersei. Jaime though, don't know about him being so hateable. I mean, that's open to debate for each to decide, but I personally don't think he's so bad. He's fighting on the wrong side of the fence, I'll give you that - but the character always seemed more three dimensional than the rest of his family, save Tyrion of course.

Yeah, I was definitely referring more to Joffrey, Cersei and Tywin. Not so much Jamie.
I can't wait to see how they pull off the possibly worse villains in the later books.

Pulling off someone like Ramsey will be much easier than we've seen from characters so far. The guy is just a one dimensional pantomime villain.
The best baddies are the ones that you don't expect or who show brains.
Jack Gleeson, aka Joffrey is the best casting in the show that wasn't an obvious casting. Perfect.

Was it just me, or did the actress playing Daenerys look completely different? I had to actually pop over to IMDB to check that it was the same person.
Maybe they just did that great of a job making her looked weathered with the makeup.

People... as great as the books were, please refrain from naming future villains until they actually show up or do something villainous.

my brother, watching last night's episode: "wait, there's one black guy on the entire show and he's a rapey pirate?"
he was joking, I think. I laughed.

In the books the only black guy is a begging prince who dresses in feathers and is good at archery. In my head Melisandre was always black, as was Osha the wildling. Still, not a big black community in Westeros

I loved the Tyrion/Janos scene.
And the chick who plays Ros must be sleeping with a producer. She gets more screen time than some cast regulars.

She's put on a bit of weight, I didn't recognize her the first time, barely this time. I wonder if she's pregnant. Also, I've noticed a distinct lack of uproar about "Yara" perhaps it was a non issue.

Tyrion/Janos was great, but I did like that Varys got to have the last word in his bit with the Tyrion.
The guy is a brilliant Varys, one of my favourite characters.

Mainly because the reason given was because they thought that the audience would get confused between her and Osha. Seriously, if you are that stupid, this isn't the show for you.

Martin wasn't exactly the most creative when coming up with names. Take widely accepted name, change, remove, or add one letter. Make 10 other similar names.

I just think it's a silly name change. There isn't any need for it anyway. {Spoiler} Being that Osha isn't even in the books/show after this season, or maybe the start of the next, while Asha stays a major player from now on, at least in as far as the Iron Islands story is concerned, though with Aeron not appearing and no mention of Victorian, one wonders if some of that wont be cut anyway
