Too bad they lost to Attitude era stars Rock/Kane/Taker instead of anyone younger who could have used the rub.

I remember reading some stat from a while ago that said there hadn't been a PPV without Triple H, Orton or Cena involved in the title match from like 2008 or something. (anyone remember what I'm talking about?)
Mind is a little bit blown.

I am wonderin whether this is it for Kane-Orton feud. Because I think Kane has regained some momentum for future Kane-Ryder feud that I'm hoping that will reignite. Maybe tie in Eve to this feud just to get Ryder-Eve be main focus of Ryder storylines.

The sad thing is, next WM we'll still probably get plenty of "HHH/Cena/Orton" always win! Comments.

HHH lost clean? I'm sorry, but was he not superkicked by Michaels?

(anyone remember what I'm talking about?) Mind is a little bit blown. Up until Punk's latest reign started, the only WWE Championship matches on PPV from Wrestlemania 21 (in 2005, the start of the "modern" era) onward that didn't involve either Cena, Orton, or Triple H were Vengeance 2006 and the Royal Rumble 2009. And of those two PPVs, one of those was headlined by a Degeneration-X match, the other by a Royal Rumble where the last two participants were Randy Orton and Triple H. Fortunately, Punk seems to have broken that streak now.

It's amazing considering Raw for 2-3 years seemed to be a never-ending revolving door between HHH, Cena and Orton (sometimes with a fourth like JBL).
Nice to see that era end. I got to where I just turned off at main event time because it was always some tag-team variation of the above.

There was couple of stretches of time in 2008 and 2009 when it was endless HHH-Orton WWE title matches in successive PPV's.

Sure it might not have been title matches, but all 3 were still in prominent roles on the card. No title matches or victories was nice to see though.
