I just wanna know how Austin could sell the GTS properly without the sudden jolt to sell the knee impact messing up his neck again. As for the match, I think if everyone can keep their "this is gonna be the modern steamboat/savage" and "this will be better the rock/cena as soon as the bell rings" blinders off, I think we can get an enjoyable 4 star match.

I definitely think that if the creative team books the feud they way they have been booking the month before mania and since, it would be off the charts. However, I question how well Stone Cold would be able to "go" in the ring these days. I think that even if he was in his prime, they have somewhat clashing styles in the ring and it would take a young and healthy Austin to be able to work accordingly. The fact that he is older now and for the reasons he had to stop in the first place makes me think the match would be lackluster and filled with botches/miscues

Honestly, unless creative MASSIVELY f***s up the story (which I doubt Austin and Punk would let them do, and Vince will let Austin run his return angle however he wants) it's going to be amazing.
Reasons as to why:
1) Punk and Austin writing the story = gold. They've already put a LOT of thought into the angle, and we're still a while away from it happening. Two of the best storytellers in the business collaborating on an epic feud? Yes please. 2) The emotion going into the match will be off-the-charts; even if the match isn't better than Savage/Steamboat, it'll still be a classic just based on the emotion and psychology of it. 3) Speaking of psychology, in all likelyhood Punk will turn heel for this angle, likely in an HBK 2005 heel turn scenario. But Punk is a BRILLIANT agitator, which makes him an excellent heel; plus not having the face v. face copout will make it an actual story. 4) Austin looked GREAT on TE, bumping all over the place, and I have confidence that he wants this match so bad that him and Punk will pull out all the stops, not just to top Rock/Cena, but to top Austin/Rock, Austin/Hart, Punk/Cena, and Punk/Joe II as the best match either have ever had. I'm not saying they WILL, but they're damn sure gonna TRY.
