I feel sorry for the people who constantly have to defend the "No, he's not supposed to be a Japanese character," point since it seems the WWE wants to make things difficult on you (No matter how true your point is)
That said...Konichi-whats-up-with-that?!

He needs to ditch the glossy red trunks and the weird tai chi poses.

Even I'm starting to find him as a fountain of unintentional comedy. The karate poses and appearing to read his Japanese promo off a piece of paper in his lap were quite humorous tonight. I like him, but he's not getting over at all.
In 3 months, he'll be doing comedy segments, trying to pick up Japanese women and failing at speaking the language.

Next thread: "Will Lord Tensai's Release Ruin the Lord Tensai Gimmick?" "No. (83 votes, 76.3)%" One day "Maybe So" will win and fulfill my real mission with these threads.

Well, here's the thing. Hasn't he lived in Japan for years, in real life? When you do that, isn't it pretty inevitable you'll become at least decent with the language, learn to live in the culture, adopt the customs and norms as part of your mundane life?
I mean, I don't know what his legal status is... I imagine it's difficult to become a citizen of Japan if you weren't born there. But, I just am kind of bewildered by people's reaction to this... It's like people literally don't understand that "Japanese" is a culture and it's also an ethnic group, and the two don't always go together. When Santino goes out there, nobody is like, "GOD, what are we, DUMB? He's not ITALIAN." I mean, great, yes, you know most Japanese people have a certain skin color. Not all of them do. Calm down.

Part of me wishes I would've went with "Will English Promos Ruin the Brock Lesnar Gimmick" but I still feel good about this thread.

Calm down. it makes him sound like a dork. Especially since he's addressing his native audience. It's like say... if I spent a couple years in UK and when I came back, I kept trying to do all my promos in a pretentious English Accent. "I spent all of last night in my flat talking to my mate as I watched matches of my opponent on my Telly, while tweeting with my Mobile. I was so pummped that I went to my Ga-Raj and had to pump out a couple Kilos."

The fact that everyone knows it's Albert is what's ruining it.

"Here's Tensai an American former WWE superstar who went over and dominated Japan!"
Then Albert shows up doing everything he possibly can to act Japanese. How is that supposed to represent that he dominated them? If anything it looks like they broke his feeble white brain and he now thinks everything about their culture is great.

Help me out here? Was Lord Tensai always suppose to be an American who went over to Japan, or was he suppose to actually be Japanese, because, from the promos leading up to his debut, it seemed as if he was suppose to be Japanese?

American who went to Japan. The announcers pointed this out when he debuted. Though nothing he has done has played into this at all.
