And I wouldn't like to see him losing like that either. You'd be bothered by Santino losing that way? I mean, I can understand the Puerto Rican Nightmares, since they're semi-serious, but this is Santino we're talking about. He's been slapped around by Divas for heaven's sake. Yeah, it would bother me. Not in a smashing my head against the keyboard way but just that these guys are meant to be champions. I understand Santino is pretty much a comedy wrestler (which is fine for the most part but it takes away the fact that he is actually a good wrestler and I wish they'd let him do more of that) but if he hit someone with a move and his opponent did a backwards roll, got up to his feet and then beat him with something as lame as The Cobra, I'd be annoyed. Championships don't mean nearly as much as they did. But when you make someone your champion, no matter how much of a "lesser" belt it is, I don't want to see those guys comedy jobbing.

It's a friggin' dropkick. Guys take those and stand up all the time. When he no-sells a burning hammer, then we'll talk.

Hey, just saying. And loving watching people scrambling for excuses as to how the Cobra actually hurts. "Well, you see, it's a quick strike, while the dropkick.....well, that's a quick strike too, but this argument only makes sense if you don't pay attention to that part, so the no selling was COMPLETELY logical!" I feel like this thread is a conspiracy against logic.

It would've looked worse if he sold the lack of contact.

It wasn't O'Reilly/Richards level of awful no-selling but it was pretty bad.

Seriously, people take dropkicks and stand right back up all the time. Hell, some superstars take the kick and don't even fall over. I honestly wonder if some people can't enjoy the product unless they're complaining about something.

Maybe if it was done 20 minutes into an epic match with Santino channeling his Samurai Spirit when doing that reversal, maybe it would be alright.
It was a cool reversal. As with all things Santino, it's not to be taken seriously. It wasn't like he took a piledriver and no sold it.

It was a weak dropkick. It wasn't like he got hit with Sweet Chin Music. It would be awesome if someone no sold a superkick that way. I could see Warrior doing that or Hawk just standing still and not moving at all.

I could see Warrior doing that or Hawk just standing still and not moving at all. Hawk no-sold piledrivers for god's sake! A no-sell off a dropkick is nothing compared to that. And he was Hawk. He was known as a brick shithouse who it took a lot to actually knock down, that was part of the whole Road Warriors gimmick. This is Santino who as people have pointed out in the past, gets knocked down by slaps from divas and clotheslines from rappers. And as for the comment about not being able to enjoy the product unless they're complaining. I can't remember the last time I started a thread complaining about the product. I stay up until 4am every week watching Raw and I have been watching for 25 years. I wouldn't be that attached to the company if all I wanted to do was complain about it.

It's just a way to try to take credibility from a perfectly reasonable point. Hell, that's been this whole thread, logical points getting tossed out with "dude, its wrestling, its fake, stop taking things so seriously".

I found it odd too. Why not just have him avoid the dropkick?

I found it odd too. Why not just have him avoid the dropkick? Because it was more hilarious this way. I mean, the whole arena went crazy when Santino no sold the dropkick because he was basically acting like his body was made of rubber.
