{Spoiler}Raven began ripping on the legacy of ECW, saying reunions are for "f**s and morons." He said that now ECW means "Extremely C**ty Wrestling." The Flock attacked Wolfe. Raven said he came here to mock how pathetic everyone is for not moving on and living in the past." Truer words were never spoken. This has made me a Raven fan again.

I wonder what the people attending the show expected? Sadly, despite their chants, they'll probably be up for more the next time around.

I wonder who Shane will blame when he can't sell tickets to future shows... Also more headshots and things that will genuinely hurt your opponent, knowing full well what that does to guys? Really? *Sigh*

I wonder what the people attending the show expected? What was advertised would be my guess. People knew the work rate wasn't going to be great but with Sabu and Justin being messed up it killed two of the top matches they promoted and for whatever reason Raven didn't work his match to kill a 3rd. People love to shit all over Shane here but I fell sorry for the guy as any plans he had no matter how farfetched got totally ruined because some guys didn't show up sober. Sold out with 2,100 people at 100, 75, 50 and 30 per ticket is more money than what a whole TNA house show loop makes by a wide margin with Jeff Hardy and all their title holders on the card and national TV behind them. So the could have milked this for some more money but after this they should cancel the next show now and not lose what they made here.

They may've killed the town. Bad news all around, including the big bright spot with Jerry Lynn, who is retiring. I know how wrestling retirements don't happen often, but Lynn wrestles like he's half his age. It's one reason I was in favour of him being ROH World Champion.
They have some good talent. Devon Storm, 2 Cold Scorpio and Jerry Lynn are bright spots. I would do a whole retirement angle with Lynn. I think the Raven deal was an angle to continue on with other shows, but I'm not sure. The biggest issue is they had Homicide, and didn't use him. Geez.

So wait, Balls and New Jack were on the same card and they didn't shoot on each other?

This isn't a sarcastic/snarky post, but from reading the entire description it sounds like the majority of the original ECW PPVs - one or two big billed matches, a multitude of changed opponents/run ins/"is this person involved in the match or not?", one great match up.
It seems fitting that a show in memory of that company had the same issues on a PPV.

The crowd sounds like a bunch of assholes. Well it is ECW. Well TNA does not have to worry about anyone saying they had the worst ECW themed PPV. oh and Extreme Reunion issued an announcement this morning that due to a technical issue with their video/audio mix, they were delaying the release of their iPPV download of last night's show by several days.
The announcement noted, "We want to offer the highest quality product to you the customer, therefore please allow us a day or two to get technical, and fix the remaining issues to upload the best possible iPPV VOD Video Download as possible. ***If you would like a refund please email us at refund@extremereunion.net and we will be more than happy to accommodate your request --no questions asked!" ------PWinsider

The difference is time and circumstance, this card would probably work in the 90s, but in 2012 to see the same old people beating the hell out of each other, with little to no showcasing of young innovative talent that made ECW exciting is just sad. The card is 90% full of walking examples of what not to do in pro wrestling.

I was happy to see that they drew over 2000 fans...but it sounds like the fans were given a shitty show. I'll be surprised if they draw half that for the next show.

IF anyone expected different they are silly. One night stand was about 7 years ago I think and that was about the last time these guys had anything going for them. The hardcore Homecoming tour was good and should have put an end to all of this. Even if these guys were still capable and weren't all washed up junkies they still have not realized that these things are boring stale.
How many times can you watch Jerry Lynn vs Justin Credible and balls Mahoney vs AXL Rotten? I don't care about seeing the BWO reunion it should have died after its stint in wwe. If Shane was truly looking to create a new brand/promotion he should have used some young guys not affiliated with other top promotions in matches with some ECW originals. How about introducing a new tag tag team and have them wrestle the FBI or Balls and AXL. I would enjoy the FBI facing The Naturals.
Plus Shane books himself in the main event and goes over? Nothing about this is appealing to me at all and I will laugh when it fails.

On top of it all, I can't see random local indy guys being on an ECW reunion show as a good idea. No wonder the fans booed the matches/segments involving wrestlers who weren't ever in ECW.

I feel bad for Shane. I know some people can't stand what they feel is bitterness, to the point of being venomous towards WWE and TNA and those he feel wronged him but I think he loves ECW and what it meant to him a lot of guys at the time (and maybe still) that he will put on what he knows was probably a bad idea and probably keep going. To me Shane is like a college student who may have had hard times in elementary school, may have tried hard at studies or athletics but there were more popular students and he got shoved to the side, then comes High School and it's an even bigger pond and even more pushing to the side. Finally comes college and it's a more diverse and excepting atmosphere where no one person rules the school and he finds himself. First came WCW where he felt he could count on Flair to give him a veterans opinion and Shane feels wronged that Flair didn't come through (first WCW run). Then comes WWF (his 1995 run) and he comes up against the kliq and has problems. Then comes another ECW run when it was probably at it's best and he finds a more generous atmosphere to his liking. It meant a lot to him and he just wants to relive it. But a lot of things come to an end and unfortunately for a lot of people ECW was one of them.
