This is already looking better than last year's disaster of a PPV. Remember that awful Miz/Cena I Quit match? Orton/Christian was one of the best matches of the year though, and Truth/Rey was pretty damn solid too.

This is already looking better than last year's disaster of a PPV. Remember that awful Miz/Cena I Quit match? We also had one f***ing fantastic match on that PPV (Christian/Orton - which was my personal 2nd favourite WWE match of the year). So I'm gonna wait until more matches are announced before I pass judgement on this one. That being said, Punk/Bryan is the most excited I've been for a match being announced (aside from Steen/Richards) since HBK/Taker 2.

What are the chances of the main event being a world title match for the first time since December?

What are the chances of the main event being a world title match for the first time since December? I think that all hangs on what they plan to do with Cena/Ace. If they plan to have it be a huge game-changer in terms of the current angle then I see it going last. If it's just Cena putting Ace in his place or Brock returning to set up Brock/Cena II then I think Punk/DBD will headline.

Just natural speculation based on Del Rio interrupting Sheamus after Mania and some interaction afterward, but with Daniel Bryan (as of now) already locked up in a separate match, it seems natural that Del Rio will be the next challenger. If so, I definitely don't see that match going on last.

I guess Sheamus/Alberto {Spoiler}maybe with Christian involved for a 3 Way Dance is the 3rd main event they're building right now. looks good I guess lack of THE REAL MAIN EVENT TALENT Brock, Taker, HHH and Rock: let's see how a PPV without those guys will do

Cena needs to take some time off. He's aging rapidly, I mean that image of him next to Ace. Some could argue that Cena's the older one.
Going to be a nice ppv though. Definitely watching it.

If so, I definitely don't see that match going on last. He did become #1 Contender shortly after WrestleMania, but Cryme Tyme also won several #1 Contenders matches that were quickly forgotten.

Wait, they put up a video of some of his highlights, and there's not one Ace Crusher in there?

The main problem with Iron-Man matches has almost nothing to do with the people in it. It's the fact that because the match is timed, there is no real drama in it until the last few minutes. If they had Punk and Bryan have an unannounced hour long match, I'm sure it would really good. Just outright saying, "THESE TWO ARE GOING TO WRESTLE FOR AN HOUR", just takes all the suspense out of it, IMHO.

To me, there is ZERO drama to Ironman matches until the final minute, when you know that its coming down to the last fall, no matter what happened in the previous 59 minutes. Like you said, having them wrestle an hour is fine, but dear god dont tell me beforehand that its going to happen, cause that kills it for me.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Orton/Jericho on this card. Both don't really have anything to do after finishing their feuds with Kane and Punk and there's an easy backstory there.

I don't get why timed matches kill the suspense. I know the Superbowl is only going to be seventy six minutes (or atleast is suppose to be minus ads) but its' still exciting. I mean I don't think most people find the Miracle On Ice suspenseless despite the fact everyone knew it was only going to run for Three Twenty minute periods minus overtime. Plus an Iron Man Match like other sporting events can go into overtime and has on occasion. .
