I just realized this is the first time in PPV history where THREE CONSECUTIVE PPV's were headlined by a match other than a championship match.

Posting solely to get the post from the next page to show up. Great, looks like that glitch is back. I just realized this is the first time in PPV history where THREE CONSECUTIVE PPV's were headlined by a match other than a championship match. Actually, it's been five consecutive ones. Also, TLC 2010 - Royal Rumble 2011 - Elimination Chamber 2011.

Kingston/Truth vs Ziggler/Swagger 4.5/6 Punk vs Bryan 4/6 (little too long) Beth vs Leyla 4/6 (finally a decent diva match) Fatal 4 Way 4.5/6 Ryback vs whoever-it-was 3/6 John L vs Cena 3.5/6 (was kinda funny) A good time was had Vince : Hey Brock , I want you to guest spot on OTL ! Brock : That'll be (x amount) of $$$. Vince : *silent pause* Fine whatever.....I'm gonna call Big Show instead !

I had to take my wife to work right before the Cena/Laurinaitis match and I didn't get around to watching it until just now. So as far as I'm concerned, the PPV ended after that awesome Bryan/Punk match. I didn't have the displeasure of riding a major high, only to getting a Brothers of Destruction style double chokeslam right back down.
That said, I knew Ace would pull out with his job. Didn't think Show would have anything to do with it. Guess I'm really blind or just didn't put much thought into this story. I think the idea is good... bring back Show by having Johnny Ace strike a deal, since Show can't be terminated for interfering. The rest of the match was just so abysmal. WAY too long. I guess I just hate Cena so much, even though he's the good guy and kayfabe I'd want Laurinaitis to lose, all I could think was "Be a star, Cena. Just pin him and put him out of his misery."
An alternate way this could have ended/how I'd have written it.... Show drags Johnny back out. A much angrier, meaner, and monstrous Show (how I want him). In the ring, Show just starts brutalizing Laurinaitis. Chokeslams, a WMD, pummellings. Then, even Cena's like "Humiliations all good, but this is too far." and tries to pull Show away. Show then beats up Cena, Chokeslams him and security run out and take Show out of the arena. Meanwhile, Laurinaitis musters just enough strength to roll onto Cena for the pin.
The only other thing in the PPV that really kinda ticked me off was during the Tag Title match. The only thing King contributed was a barrage of unfunny Vickie insults. Maybe it's just me, being a fan and thinking she's actually pretty cute. But it also reminded me of essentially him doing the same thing during Molly Holly's heel run (again, I was a big Molly Holly fan with a bit of a crush). The occasional rib I see, but now when it's the only thing he has to say about the match. I even think Booker stuck up for her a time or two, though Cole played it like they were both attacking her.
I knew Christian would win. It was obvious. But part of me hoped Regal might win. One last run that could also introduce Ambrose.

Bryan and Punk STOLE the show, it was simply amazing.
It was quickly ruined when I realized we might get a Cena/Show feud though, god please no... whyyyy!
