Alright so I'm pretty sure they just forgot they had a PPV tonight until around 4pm and that's why we got what we got.

Oh joy, Cena feuds with a big guy and is treated constantly as the underdog even though he never, ever is. Great.

Big Show will say "I did it to get my job back"
And no one will be allowed to say "yeah but if Johnny lost, the new GM may have given you your job back anyway" or "but what if Johnny still refuses to hire you?"

Storyline wise, we don't actually know who the WWE would hire as GM to replace Johnny, everybody is just assuming its Teddy Long. They could have just as easily named Damien Sandow the new GM. Or one of Johny's underlings like Eve or David Otunga. Why would they hire back somebody like The Big Show?

I give this PPV a C -. Punk/Bryan and Christian/Cody kept it from getting a D.

Hey WWE: nobody wants to see Show, Kane or Khali anywhere near the main event. 1985 called and it wants its slow, boring, plodding matches back.

Why would he hire back somebody like The Big Show? Surely no matter who would take over would at least be a notch above a boss who makes you get on your knees and beg to keep your job and refuse anyways. The very reason the match was in Cena's favor was because the board of directors see Laurenitis for the megalomaniac he is so I would figure they'd use a little more forethought into the next candidate.

All that might be true, but Big Show still has no way of knowing if the new GM would hire him back. Atleast if Johnny said something to Big Show before the match, Show has something of a guarantee with him.

So what was the point of tonight's PPV if we were just gonna have Mr.Excitement win with help from Big Show anyway?

Im going to say this right now.....
This Johnny Ace abuse of power angle has no where else to go at this point and until John Lauranaitis is gone as GM of Raw and Smackdown, dont expect me to watch WWE until then.
And no.......I am serious and you probably wont see me tomorrow talking about Raw. As much as I love WWE, Ace attacking Cena was a jumping the shark moment that should have ended tonight and sadly it wont.

Dipshits at the LAW once again show how stupid they are. It's like oh you clearly enjoyed everything except the main event, even though you said everything sucked but the Punk/Bryan match, then you say the show was a complete thumbs down because of one match? Come on now. You got a bunch of good matches and then the main event. Come on it wasn't THAT bad and if you're gonna let one match that really doesn't have that much consequences afterwards completely ruin a show for you because it's not like wrestling used to be in the 80s, then you need to stop watching Mr. Lovranksi.

Different people have different standards as to what they expect a show to be. And personally, I think it's entirely reasonable that one or two matches could ruin an entire show for someone - it happens.

But the thing is they act like they know everything and that everyone agrees with them despite the fact that a lot of what they say is opinion based and a great amount of it just sounds like "pissed off mark" than "guy who actually knows stuff." They just had a caller who said he no longer respects Cena as a human being and refuses to care about anything this guy ever does again because of the main event. That's how sick of this show I am, but for some reason I keep listening to it.

I didn't see the match so I can't judge, but one match really doesn't sound worth giving up on someone over, and Cena's probably had far worse than this.

Wow, first post in what seems like FOREVER here, but I came back from watching OTL at Wild Wings and I was just very unimpressed by Laurinaitis/Cena's card placement. It would have functioned better as an upper midcard match with the way it was plotted. I don't believe I've ever seen what is pretty much a comedy match as a headliner.
I'ma take the internet route and say Punk/Bryan should've received top billing.
EDIT: Wait, so Over The Limit 2012 is now the Mass Effect 3 of wrestling shows? People losing all respect for Cena and a good event itself after this match's aftermath? Hmmm, interesting.
