Isn't this past Raw the first time that Jerry Lawler attempted the Piledriver since the ban on piledrivers?
Now I didn't see his PPV match vs. The Miz, so he may have tried it there, but other than that I don't think he really tried to bust one out in years, even during the Michael Cole feud which would have gotten a major pop.

He did attempt one against The Miz if I remember correctly.

Yeah he's tried for it a few times before. If he HITS it, now that will be news.

He actually hit a real piledriver at an FCW house show on Trent Barreta after he had a mixed tag match against him and another diva.

There's a ban on piledrivers? There has been since around mid 2000. Undertaker and on occasion Kane have been the exceptions, due to the Tombstone being safer than a regular piledriver. But something happened in the Triple H/Rock Iron Man Match when Taker got involved that led to that. Why do you think we haven't seen piledrivers during new WWE matches in a long time?

Michaels did one on Cena in their match at WM 23. Done on the steps as well.

Well, that's one of the few exceptions because 1)It's WrestleMania 2)It's Shawn Michaels, who used to use the piledriver regularly 3)It's John Cena, who at the time was the WWE Champion

Powerbomb ban as well? Or is it just out of fashion?
Does anyone do one now? Batista did, and Swagger had the gutwrench. Does Swagger still do that at all, or is it all Ankle Lock?

Punk attempted one on Jericho at Extreme Rules on the outside. Cole even called it.

Because piledrivers are kind of lame when it comes to impact. Now sure they are dangerous as hell if botched, but it's someone carefully picking someone up, and then gently sitting down, not exactly the floppity impact the fans like these days.
