Ezekiel Jackson, who prides himself in being “The Personification of Domination,” has struggled mightily since dropping the WWE Intercontinental Championship to Cody Rhodes in August. Once a fixture on SmackDown, the Guyanese grappler has been relegated to WWE Superstars and non-televised bouts since dropping the strap—the majority of which he has lost. Earlier this year, WWE creative had planned to push Jackson again but his behavior backstage derailed it.
Appearing boastful over creative’s plan to renew his push, Jackson pushed his colleagues’ buttons to the point where a fight almost broke out in the dressing room at a SmackDown taping in January. Vince McMahon caught wind of the incident backstage and immediately entered the dressing room before Jackson and his co-workers could come to blows.
The push, which was expected to commence with a strong showing at the Royal Rumble, did not come to fruition because of an order from the WWE CEO to not push Jackson due to his behavior backstage. This also explains his downward spiral in recent months.

Haha, I just imagine Vince bursting in and going "SHUT UP!" in his Mr Mcmahon voice. I never figured Zeke to be a dick though, always seemed pretty cool.

Now I picture him backstage dancing around.
"I'M GONNA GET A PUSSSH I'M GONNA GET A PUSSSSH"
"Oh, did you get depushed? Well I don't have to worry about that"
"I'M GONNA GET A PUSHHHHHH"

"The Guyanese Grappler" should be his nickname.

Jackson was getting depushed way before January, and hasn't shown anything to warrant another push since losing the title, so I have a hard time believing they had any plans with him at the Rumble or after it.
Plus I don't think I've ever heard of that site.

Actually he was TLo's go to guy for a few weeks after the Rumble and looked to be getting a push before he was jobbed to Otunga 4 or 5 times in a row and then dropped off the face of the Earth.

I always thought the reason for Zeke's depush was...

Yeah, not sure I believe this one. Zeke's attitude has always seem fairly even-handed and cool, so I won't take this without a grain of salt. If anything, I'd want to de-push him due to him being potentially dangerous in the ring before anything else.

This here is what you call stagnation. It's a combination of no cuts & aggrivation.

Well, he looks weird anyway.
I don't know much about his ringwork but he just looked like a big musclehead to me and wasn't interesting in the least.

I always thought he was depushed because Vince/creative realised they'd tried to push the guy plenty of times and each time he had failed because Big Zeke ain't got no cuts.

Yeah, but the report seems to say that he was getting his depush right before the Rumble. So if I'm to believe the reports, he already had heat with management when he teamed up with Teddy. Besides, I wouldn't even consider being Teddy's go to guy a start of a push to begin with.

Pretty weird that Vince would get on to someone for not fighting when he wouldn't push Morrison for being ball-less. Unless Zeke was fighting someone like Orton or Big Show

Maybe he got pissed off again when security didn't know who he was?

This sounds way too similar to Ahmed Johnson being depushed so it's probably bs.

I haven't seen this anywhere like PWI or F4W, so I doubt it. All the backstage reports I'd always heard on him were that he was this well liked, studious guy, only guy to pass some test on Dr. Death's autobiography down in OVW, etc.

He just isn't very good. So I've got no problems with a depush.

I don't even care if this is NEWZ or not. I'm just amused beyond words at the mental image of a 66 year old man hearing a fight is about to break out between professional athletes and having his first thought be "Chill the f*** out guys, I got this!" revealing a Superman shirt underneath and dashing out to the locker room to save the day.
