Am I the only one who thought the Miz v Funkasaurus match was actually pretty good? They seem to work pretty well together.

It was very good! Crowd was behind Miz, and for good reason. I don't want Mi tied up with the Funkman though.

"Good" is the last thing I'd call that match.

As I originally said...I thought that might have been a good feud, especially since they gave Brodus' opponent a chance to talk. Then the match started and yeah...it was pretty brutal to watch.

I thought it was a more compelling match than the main event.

Eh, it went way too long for my liking. And a guy as big as Brodus should not be selling that much for a guy like Miz, no offense to Miz.

It was pretty bad.
Naomi's rack looked fantastic though.

Miz's character is stale.
Brodus's gimmick is getting old fast. Wouldn't be surprised if fans do turn on at some point. Same thing every week almost.

Are they still blaming Miz for the ho-hum Survivor Series buyrate, and not the hilariously terrible story leading up to it?

Compared to the other matches tonight, it was pretty good. Dem asses & dem cleavage were the best, though.

Miz got more offense in on Brodus tonight than anyone else from my recollection, if anything, they allowed him to look good out there, also he won at Wrestlemania and lasted longer than anyone else in the Rumble and has a movie coming out...but I guess there's still this idea that he's not getting a fair deal.

Poking fun at Miz is just highly entertaining, but good points are made here. If anything, dude is being built back up from being thrust into the main event too soon. He still gets mic and tv time, puts on a good showing at just about every major event and is heavily involved with public appearances and the like. Give it some time and he'll be a major factor again.

I liked the part where they panned over to Naomi and Cameron.

Pencil me down as someone who would love to see another miz push. The guy has improved heaps in the ring and as a character I find him very entertaining and compelling. I'd actually much rather listen to him on the mic than punk most of the time (and I like punk).

For Brodus: Between the new investment in the giant disco ball, the increased role and focus placed on the girls, and the fact that the guy is now beginning to get wins over more credible, "established" talent, Brodus Clay is probably the most dumb-lucky guy in wrestling today. With so many other "monster" characters floating around the company at the moment (Lesnar, Tensai, Ryback), Brodus would've simply receded into the Superstars shadows as "The Fat One" had he debuted with his original gimmick. Instead, he's giddily stumbled into a role that, while not main event championship material, the company obviously sees as a profitable, sustainable character, an effective comedy break between all of the arm snapping and Laurinaitis-derived chicanery.
For Miz: Wow. Just...wow. Last year, the first heel since Triple H a decade prior to walk out of WM as champion. This year, getting placed into glorified squash matches against comedy characters like Santino and the "Funkasaurus". I'm not saying the guy is going to get released (with him starring in "Marine 3", that's obviously not happening), but I think his fate as an eternal mid-carded has more or less been sealed.
I like Miz, or at least I did in 2009/10 when he had fire in his belly and a chip on his shoulder, but as I watched Extreme Rules and the 3 awesome main events, and the caliber of talent involved in them (Cena, Brock, Punk, Jericho, Bryan, Sheamus), I couldn't help but think that Miz is simply outclassed. He can cut as many "Mean Face" promos as he wants, but the main event scene in WWE is just too stacked with gifted athletes right now for him to ever seem a credible champion. If all of those guys get injured, and Lord Tensai leaves, and ADR breaks his leg, and Kane is on sabbatical, and they can't convince Batista to come back, then maybe Miz could be champ again, but just maybe.

I thought the match was plodding, boring, obvious Brodus was going to win with the amount of offense Miz was getting in, and that Brodus selling Miz's offense looked pretty goofy. Naomi and Cameron looked good though.

Am I the only one who thought the Miz v Funkasaurus match was actually pretty good? They seem to work pretty well together. You're not the only one,I was enjoying it as well and thought the match made both The Miz and Funkasaurus look even better then they already are in the ring.
