It's going to air before IMAX screenings of the new Mission Impossible movie this December, which looked pretty damn good in its own right.

I can't remember what movie they aired it before the last time (it was the bank robbery opening scene they showed)

I'm guessing they're going the same route w/ this as The Girl w/ The Dragon Tattoo. Release a 8-10 minute clip/trailer and then edit it down to about 3 minutes and some change and make that your official trailer, perhaps put it in front of the Sherlock Holmes sequel.

I don't see what the big deal is. I want to see the whole movie, not 6 minutes of it.

Ya'll can do what I did
See the preview, then walk out and ask for a refund saying you can't see the movie because you have to go somewhere else

I want to see MI4. But I don't want to see six minutes of the TDKR as I want to see the whole film. I feel when you watch six minutes of a film, you aren't surprised, you know? I want to go into the theatre completely blind to previews, spoilers, and come out amazed.
So in essence I probably won't see the six minute preview. I'll just wait for the actual trailer to hit Youtube or something.

I'll just wait for the preview to leak online like I did last time...
