Well I liked him when he was Prince Albert. His collaboration with the Testicles really put him on the map.

Will liking Lord Tensai ruin his gimmick?

We all loved him before he returned to the mainstream! Giant Bernard 4REAL Well to be fair he wrestled a completely different style in Japan. Bernard was damn fun to watch in the ring, Tensai is not.

Will liking Lord Tensai ruin his gimmick? Will remembering and appreciating the hip hop hippo ruin the Lord Tensai gimmick?

Aye, I agree to an extent. He was better in Japan but given he's just had a few squash matches (and his match with Cena does come under that as well) I can't really judge him yet. Truth be told I enjoy the Kenzo Suzuki reverse STO and his moveset, the only turn off are the hand movements for me. Replace the hand movements with the Derailer and I'd be a happy Albert fan.

I don't think many people would argue that as a wrestler, he's great. It's just when he does those hand gestures like he's about to do a Fatality and the whole green mist thing that isn't as great.

I like him now, I'm enjoying his gimmick, and I don't think it has been ruined by 934 different things.

Per request went back and checked his Japan work.... not bad, a lot more upbeat and a little quicker than what I'm watching now. So they basically took what was "pretty good" in Japan, slowed it down and gave it an awful gimmick and I'm suppose to like it as much if not more than what the people in Japan liked?
