The only album from this year that I've owned/listened to is Lonely Island's Turtleneck & Chain, so that is my choice by default.

Watch the Throne all of The Weeknd's stuff. Coldplay's album was pretty solid.

I'll probably take some grief for this, but I don't care: The Misfits - "The Devil's Rain."

I really like the new Mighty Mighty Bosstones album, so I'm gonna say that. I don't think I bought many albums that actually came out this year.

Foo Fighters - Wasting Light. Hands down, the best album of the year, IMHO.

My Top 11...because that's how many albums I bought this year:
1) Ghost - Opus Eponymous (Technically came out late 2010 but didn't get distribution in the States until 2011 so I'm counting it.) 2) Patton Oswalt - Finest Hour 3) Louis CK - Hilarious 4) Mastodon - The Hunter 5) Trap Them - Darker Handcraft 6) Dir en Grey - Dum Spiro Spero 7) Exhumed - All Guts, No Glory 8) Mindless Self Indulgence - Tighter (re-issue) 9) f*** The Facts - Die Miserable 10) The Lonely Island - Turtleneck and Chain 11) Winds of Plague - Against The World

Haven't quite nailed down my list yet, as it's been a pretty damn awesome year for music, and I'm having a hard time really getting my top 10 in order. I will post it as soon as I really figure it out.

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds
Nothing else comes anywhere near comparison, in my opinion.
My Morning Jacket put out an album in 2011, but I didn't think it was as good as the band's older material.

"The Hymn of A Broken Man" by Times of Grace. Any other answer is wrong. Rob Flynn agrees.
