This is my favorite Christmas movie. My wife and I watch it every year on Christmas. It is one of the two parts of our Christmas traditions we have. Hopefully, my 2 year old will watch a little bit of it this year too.

Great movie, but to be honest, I can go five-six years easy now without seeing it since it's played so much. They've Shawshanked it.

I love this movie every time I see it. No matter how often it's played.

Watching this movie on Christmas eve and/or Christmas day is the only thing about this holiday that hasn't been ruined for me. At the age of 35, it is truly the only Christmas tradition that I have.
sigh

Couldn't stand it as a kid.
Couldn't stand it as a teen.
Still can't stand it as an adult.
No matter how many times I've seen this movie (Thanks to the ever fun "I'm sure you'll like and appreciate it, now" excuse from those who enjoy) I just can't find it enjoyable. Someone got it for me as a gift one year and it's the only time I've returned something to the store.

never saw it, but I remember when FX tried to mimmick TBS' marathon, by playing "Jingle All The Way" for 24 hours. That was fun

It's an okay movie but I think I can go 5-10 years without watching it and not miss it.

Since I met my wife, we have added two Christmas traditions. The first is watching this movie once. The second is we always have waffles on Christmas morning. These both just kind of happened.

I love A Christmas Story, but I've gotten to the point where I can only watch it once every year. Someone needs to have a marathon of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. That's a movie I can't see myself ever getting tired of.

I listened to Jean Shephard growing up. The book which is the basis for some of the best parts of the movie (the b.b. gun, the decoder ring, thebully, the flag pole, the leg lamp), In God We Trust All Others Pay Cash, is one of my favorites. Listening to his Christmas Eve show driving home from my North Jersey relative's "Feast of the Seven Fishies" was a family tradition. flicklives.com/
