The whole playing as the heroes thing killed my interest, to be honest.
When playing an MMO, I want to play as a character I created. :^\

Considering how many different looks Marvel heroes have and if they include things like dyes etc I doubt many will look alike.
I think it's better this way because if they went all DCUO everyone would be making the heroes they can't play as anyways , and instead of spiderman and wolverine clones , we would end up with superman and batman clones...I don't play DCUO but im sure it's got asortment of batman , Greenlantern , superman etc clones runnin about.

yeah 500+ wolverines, i wanna know how theyre gonna avoid this But that's already the case in canon! *rimshot* I really don't get the point in making this game an MMO if you're going to be able to play as the major heroes. Should made it like MUA or Diablo, but if they really want MMO elements, put them in a server-wide economy or the ability to group with friends in instances. Otherwise this sounds pretty meh. A big part of what attracts me to MMO's is playing my own character. Especially superhero-themed MMO's since they have a ton of costume options, and the depth and customization of the CAC is a big part of what attracts me to them. I'm one of those dorks that likes RPing in MMORPG's, and being made to play as an existing Marvel character is far less interesting sounding than my own character in that regard.. Though I don't know of any MMO that's come close to topping City of Heroes/Villains in terms of pure variety yet, and that includes later Superhero MMO's like Champions and DCUO.

I am only interested in playing a Villain, while I highly doubt Shuma-Gorath would be available I do hope to be able to play as a wannabee Mysterio or Mr Sinister.

The thought of an army of 50+ Captains America and Iron Men fighting bad guys amuses me greatly.

I know. Individualism is a huge selling point of MMOs. Heck it might just become more of a staple as time goes on. Who really wants to look like someone else?
The ability to create your own character is fun even out of MMOs. It's nice to know that I can play as John Cena but also throw him threw a table with Angry Pizza Delivery Man or whoever it is I made.

Well of course it has an assortment of Green Lantern clones running around, considering how you can, you know, freaking join the Green Lantern Corps in DCUO. As for clones of other heroes, surprisingly, not as many as you'd think. Definitely not as bad as it is in say, City of Heroes. In fact the only multiple clones I've seen were two different people playing as Storm clones. Everyone else I've seen so far while playing DCUO has either a flat out original design, or they made a character based on a non-comic book character, such as Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII, for example.

Can't make your own guys? Ugh, no sell for me. I'll stick to DCUO. That game is just way too much dang fun, IMO!

Yup, I made a Lantern, but he is my Lantern, not based off any one else. He has a magic background, fights with his fists, and is a paramilitary alien.

Yep, and honestly when I do see a clone, as, like I said, it isn't often, I'm honestly more impressed than anything, because I would think to myself, "Huh, didn't even know that was possible...." Like the other day, saw a guy playing as a Static look alike. Didn't even know you could make a Static look alike.

Not only does he look bad to the bone, but he's extremely movie/action figure accurate! (Fight with two guns, and has a "Power kick!" when in melee!)

I made a clone of Samus Aran in DCUO's open beta. It actually looked somewhat accurate!
