Just saw it today and it was pretty good. I thought Brad Pitt's performance was great and it was nice to see Jonah Hill play a different character than the one he usually does in his comedies. This movie was really interesting as it brings up the whole small vs. big market teams issue that goes on MLB along with the NBA currently with the "Superteams" forming. Plus, I thought the ending song was funny and cute {Spoiler}"You're such a loser Dad, just enjoy the show."

I'm only a casual (very casual) baseball fan, and I absolutely loved it. Really good movie.

I loved it when I saw in theatres. I also loved how it was one of those rare sports films where the protagonists do not win in the end.

Also, love that the movie doesn't end in the "Big Game/Fight" like many others do. In fact, there isn't much baseball scenes in the movie and the ones that are used are mostly old highlights.

In a way, Moneyball is kind of like The Wrestler. In that, yes it is a sports film, but it focuses more on the characters when they are outside of performing, rather during their performances.

I thought it was fantastic. And even thought it's least likely, I would like to see this get nominated for Best Picture.

The Artist, Descendants, Hugo, and the The Help are set at this point. I believe this, War Horse, and Midnight in Paris are going to be the other nominees based on projections.
