I know people don't like most ESPN columnists, however Gregg Easterbrook had an interesting analysis of the Denver comebacks in his this week. Basically, there is a method to being such a run heavy team early on. It tires out the defenses, and opposing coaches haven't picked it up yet to switch out teams. By late game, Denver can switch to an aggressive defense and pick apart a tired defense. Tired defenses make more mistakes, and a player with a football IQ as high as Tebow can take advantage of that, not to mention the rest of the team being able to capitalize. I know such a theory would have to give credit to the coaching staff, which isn't popular around these parts, but it does help explain why this team is so good at late comebacks. Hmm, that's an interesting view point for sure. I once heard a fan compare this team to a boxer, one that doesn't necessarily want to knock you out in the first round - but one that is content on wearing you down and then delivering the knockout blow. My personal opinion is that, being down (or tied) late in the game forces Fox/McCoy to open up the playbook a little more, which allows this young offense to really explode - I think if they'd do that earlier (which they have been recently, to their credit) we maybe wouldn't have to fight back every game. Didn't they try that against Detroit? If wearing down the defenses bad enough to let his players pick them apart late game is the plan, then it's pretty genius, I think. Remember, for all his success, Tebow isn't the best passer in the league. If the defenses are worn down more, they're less likely to be able to capitalize on the weakness. The fact that they're not so confident in him through the entire game makes this make so much sense. Meanwhile, you get to play on Tebow's biggest strength, his football IQ. He does all the little things that a lot of QB's don't to make defenses bite and wear them down more, and he really is one of the best in the league when it comes to that. And when the defense is tired and having a hard time keeping up, you have a more rested QB and WR core, and are able to pick them off piece by piece. The plan really hinges on the defense doing enough to keep you in the game though. And the defense for Denver has gotten a lot better as the season has gone on.

That's a pretty interesting take. John Fox knows a thing or two about a good defense, so I actually wouldn't be surprised if he came up with it.
Really, I think John Fox deserves a lot more credit for the turnaround than he's currently getting. He's a big part of why the defense has come together the way it has lately.

The only team to beat Tebow is the Lions.
What did they do that other team's couldn't? My idea- they jumped out to such an insurmountable lead.
We'll see if the Pats passing game can get rolling- that day, Stafford and Megatron absolutely lit it up.

The only thing that scares me is the Pats pass defense is so terrible that basically anyone who is a professional QB could light them up. I think Denver's gameplan is simple.. minimize the amount of time Brady and the offense have the ball and try to get some points on every drive. Althought sometimes it really looks like the Pats are playing pitch and catch out there.

The Palm Beach Post is "hearing" that Matt Moore (concussion, neck) will start in Week 15 against the Bills.

We'll see if the Pats passing game can get rolling- that day, Stafford and Megatron absolutely lit it up. They got to Tebow on defense, and weren't stopped by Denver's defense. It really is as basic as that, Tebow got frazzled, couldn't perform, and the Lions capitalized. The Lions are the best team they've faced up to this point on both sides, and they were able to pressure them on both sides in a way that other teams weren't. Hence, the big lead and probably the tactics change.

I just think it's cool, as a Bronco fan, to finally have the media talk about us in a way that's not condescending or just to bash us. I know it's not significant and shouldn't matter, but it's cool to get recognition. I personally don't see a team blowing us out like the Lions did by getting to Tebow anymore. Since the Detroit game he's improved heavily as a passer, and has really stepped up his pocket presence. I'm not saying we'll never lose or anything like that, but I don't forsee a blowout against Tebow providing he keeps making good decisions like he has been (for the most part). Oh, and this is amazing

The thing is that on this run, the Broncos haven't faced any truly good offenses except for the Lions (and arguably the Chargers, though Rivers was in the middle of Pickomania). And the Lions curbstomped them. I think Da Bears would've done the same if Cutler and Forte weren't out for the season. And even then they would've won if Marion Barber wasn't such a colossal idiot, and Caleb Hanie is an AWFUL QB. He makes Tebow look like Peyton Manning.

If for some reason Tebow ever makes a WWE or TNA/IW appearance, he better have "All He Does is Win" as his entrance theme

According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, the Browns did not perform the SCAT2 concussion test before they sent McCoy back into the game. The concussion was not revealed until testing on Friday morning. McCoy's status for Week 15 at Arizona is unknown.

NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports that Jim Caldwell will be fired as Colts head coach if the team finishes 0-16. He should be fired regardless. He looks lost out there every week and nothing he's doing is working. If he hasn't shown signs of life at any time this season, he won't in the next few games.

Wouldn't surprise me if they did I'd agree with the league if they did fine the Browns. You had Colt McCoy out cold on the field after taking a helmet to helmet hit, and yet the Browns don't think to perform a concussion test on him. That's just f***ing stupid, and reckless. Perform the damn test. If Caldwell gets fired, we know where Bill Cowher's going.

Its remarkable that he could have been the Head Coach of a 16-0 team just two years ago. I wonder if this week they'll play a team that benches their starters intentionally so that they would win.
