Caldwell's been lost since the 2nd half kickoff of Super Bowl XLIV. I think Caldwell may be the worst coach to ever get to a Super Bowl. Its remarkable that he could have been the Head Coach of a 16-0 team just two years ago. I wonder if this week they'll play a team that benches their starters intentionally so that they would win. Well, aren't they likely to start Locker this week?

I was thinking about this today while watching NFLNetwork, and was interested to see what people thought. When it's all said and done, what exactly will Eli Manning's legacy be?
Will he be seen as a great QB who led his team to a Super Bowl and was a great overall leader, or will he be seen as just the inferior Manning or the "other" Manning?
I don't think Eli gets the credit he deserves, just because he's constantly compared to his brother. I don't think he's the greatest QB in the league, but I definitely think he's one of the best right now but he is vastly under-appreciated because of his last name.

New NFL TV deals -- NBC, Fox, CBS extend deals through 22 NBC gets Thanksgiving night game - Starting in 2014, NBC will produce a Sunday morning NFL pregame studio show on NBC Sports Network as part of new agreement. NBC will start airing the Thanksgiving night game next season. Starting in 2014, flex scheduling will be expanded to also swap games between CBS and Fox(this was hinted at when the NFL moved Denver at Minnesota from CBS to Fox). Edit: NFL will also expand the number of NFL Network Thursday night games beginning next season as well(amount to be determined). Super Bowl broadcast rotation will continue uninterrupted: NBC, Fox, and CBS will get 3 Super Bowls each.

I'm biased because I'm a Giants fan, but I think Eli is the most underrated QB in the NFL after Jay Cutler. Last year's Pick-O-Mania didn't help things, but I think he's one of the unsung elites of the NFL. Problem is that his brother is one of the greatest QB's of all time. And as good as Eli is, that's a hell of a shadow to get out of. I think if he can lead the Giants to another Super Bowl win and get another Super Bowl MVP trophy, he'll get his just respect.

I think Eli is a guy that people will appreciate more after he retires. He gets viewed too often through the lens of big brother, and it unfairly devalues him. He's still pretty young, look at his career stats and project another 5 years or so. It's all hypothetical of course, but the whole picture could end up looking very good.

The sexual assault charges against Patriots WR Julian Edelman have been dropped. I had a joke tailor-made for this situation, but Edelman's actual competence as a defensive back have totally killed the joke. You know what, I'm going for it anyway. "So, the sexual assault charges against Julian Edelman have been dropped. Good to know. Now he can return to just being a colossal disappointment ON the field!"

Honestly, I think it takes about 2 championship rings to be mentioned in the discussion as an all-time great QB if your regular season numbers aren't all that great. It's the reason why Tom Brady was so touted before he started putting up out-of-this world numbers (2007).
By career's end, Eli Manning won't be close to on par with Peyton, but I think he'll go down as an underrated talent who wasn't as good as Peyton, but didn't really need to be in the first place, since he has talents that most observers haven't seen with Peyton. And if his numbers in the future look like this year's, then perhaps the Hall of Fame may be in his future as well.

Tebow should turn heel.
I don't know how he will do it, though.

According to a report from 670 The Score in Chicago, Bears WR Sam Hurd supplied drugs to NFL players numbering in the "double digits."
Football was apparently a side job for Hurd, who was one of the top drug dealers in Chicago. His operation makes Nate Newton's 213 pounds of marijuana look small-time. Doing roughly $2 million worth of business every month, Hurd was looking to buy "5 to 10 kilograms of cocaine and 1,000 pounds of marijuana per week for distribution in the Chicago area." Hurd faces up to 40 years in prison, reports the Chicago Sun-Times. His football career is over.

John Clayton is reporting that the Bucs where going to fire Raheem Morris on Monday but didn't because "the Bucs did not have a suitable choice for an interim coach on the staff to replace Morris."

This Hurd thing should be a massive issue... I'm sure the NFL will cover it up though

Whoever scheduled Thursday and Monday Night Football this year should be smacked in the back of the head.

The Hurd thing is going to be huge. Not because of who he is, but the players he might've supplied. We're at the tip of the iceberg.

Damn, glad I thought to set my lineup early in the week and thus got Ryan in at QB. I didn't realize they had the game tonight (or that there was even a game tonight).
